I played in a tournament close to by home today and I was involved in a crazy hand. Up to this point in the tornament I was up some. I was the button, everyone folded. I had 5-7 of spades so I called the BB as did the SB and the BB checked. The flop was 3-4-6 of spades. :eek: :eek: :eek: :eek: :eek: The SB bet about pot sized, the BB called after a little thinking and I too called after a short delay. The turn was another 3. The SB now bet much bigger. The BB took a moment but eventual folded. Then too me. The SB player told me it was my turn in a very anxious way. Because of that I went over the top and all in. He immediately called and turned over 3-4. a full house. I turned mine over and told him I had the NUTS. To cap off the hand and make it just completely unbelieveable. The river was ANOTHER 3. He had QUAD 3's but I had the straight flush. He had me covered barely so I more than doubled up. So not only flopping a straight flush but I got paid. :cool:

too bad you weren't playing on a "bad beat" table - the whole table would've gotten paid. how did you end up in the tournamnet?

Okay I thought I would join y'all tonight for lil Poker action. I downloaded, then I chose a cute little cat to be me...then off to fund the account. You are kidding? It's like Fort Knox! So I used some thingy firepay and it may take a few days - or maybe I will use Visa...has anyone had any luck with that? Looks like it costs about 4 bucks to fund the acct with firepay so we shall see. Anyway - I tried...so I guess maybe I will watch y'all tonight.

Bummed in Atlanta...y'all are gonna miss my money! ;)

One thing to remember about funding, is that if you have a friend with funds, they can transfer them to you. That's what I ended up doing.

next wednesday at 9:00 is the season premiere of "Lost." there's not much on TV that i make sure i'm available to watch, but I do for that show. Judging by the decline in recent attendence, is wednesday at 9 bad for others too? should we re-open the day/time debate?

Not unless you've had an account for awhile. markbach tried that for me so I could play in the first game and it was rejected because I did not have an account with any previous history of activity.

Must be a money-laundering thing. ;)

Uh, one word. Tivo! You can also, just register, and then then play during commercials.

I'll be in Brazil for 2 more weeks, and the 9pm starting time (10pm here) just barely lets me play before the internet cafe closes at midnight. After that, I don't care about the time too much.

I set up a new account, and had him fund it a few days later, no problem. He's had a lot of deposits in his account though, so that may play a factor in it. The transfer was pending for about 10 minutes, and then said Approved.
