Or perhaps we could think of occasional 10PM ET start time--might help west coast people join too.

Thanks also for the earlier guidance on tourney selection.

As soon as I sign up, the table will turn red in the list. That will make it easier to find. Of course, I may not be able to play every week but I am already signed up for the 24th.

William, the tourneys are Wednesday nights, not Thursday.

I'm gonna have to get in on thise :)

Maybe after we get this thing going for a couple of weeks, we could mix it up a bit so that more people are accomodated. One suggestion would be:

1st Wed of month: $10+$1, 9pm est
2nd Wed of month: $10+$1, 10pm est
3rd Wed of month: $20+$2, 9pm est
4th Wed of month: $$20+$2, 10pm est
5th Wed of month (next occurance is November): $50+$5

just a thought, although this might be more work for QL.

My bad. I knew that and just posted the day (Thursday) I came back to the thread. :D

But, Wednesdays are a long day for me as well. My short days are Tuesdays (soon to be changed to Monday) and Fridays. Not that I expect anyone to change the night of the game so I can join. I'm just trying to figure out how to work it in. ;)

I guess if you see me, I'll be there. I signed up under Brindle as a user id.

I'm in! Great time the other night, everyone should try it!

Anything is fine with me. How will we decide what the consensus is?

I'd try and have the time static for the month. I think it may get too confusing if you vary both the time, and the amount of each tourney.

I wouldn't having a Tournament of champions or such, after 4 or 5 months. Say first place gets 10 points, 2nd 8 points, 3rd 5 points, and have the 10 best players go at it for a $50 a hand tourney.

Maybe some special FF prizes, or FT talk stuff as some of the bonuses.

10pm Eastern works best for me.

I just looked at my next work schedule and with my vacation in less than 2 weeks.. it'll be at the very least 5 weeks till I can participate :(

funny since I came up with the idea in the first place but nonetheless, I still think it's a good idea and a fun way to kill some time. :)

I guess we will decide based on what people post here, so if you have strong feelings one way or the other, please share. As for me, I prefer the 9: pm est start (or earlier). Last week with 13 playes it didn't end until almost 11: pm est. If we start to get more players, it will go even later. Having said that, I am not opposed to having some weeks start later to accomodate the west-coasters, but i would probably sit out those weeks.

I'm definitely interested -- unfortunately my next two wednesdays are crap. I'll get my Neteller account all squared away so that I can join you in 2 weeks.

Dead money walkin'

OK, I'm a poker rookie, (if the weather man is especially cutsie is he a pookie roker?)

De toutes facon..

What exactly does $20 + $2 mean? This question stems from my total confidence: how much can I loose? :D

Danka dudes.

I'll be logged in as Al_Swearingen - is there live chat available?

JerryGuitar Aug 24, 2005 7:14 am

$20 + $2 means that it costs a total of $22 to enter, but only $20 goes to the prize pool, while $2 goes to the site for hosting the tournament. The game tonight is $10 + $1, so all you can lose is $11 (and your dignity).

Rigmutt Aug 24, 2005 7:37 am

Can't make it tonight (driving to Maine for a long weekend) but definitely count me in for most Wednesdays. Either time works for me (9AM and 10AM).

Thanks to this thread, I've been playing online for the last week, and it's really a blast. Now if I could only start winning some more money...

QuietLion Aug 24, 2005 9:14 am

We need three more players tonight to make the minimum of nine...jump in!
