Only when that pair is gone will I go for the Air France set. I figure that will be some time in January.

Meanwhile, if any of you happen go be in a hotel that has these terrycloth slippers, do not hesitate to mail them out to me!

I never got ANY slippers at the Ai Mori! (OK, I guess I should have asked for some. @:-) )

And, one day the bathrobe disappeared from my room (the housekeeping staff must have removed it) and I had to ask for one. Then the following day, I found TWO bathrobes in my room. Zero bathrobes, one bathrobe, two bathrobes.... but NEVER any slippers!!! :D :p

Considering the Ramada-FLL has towels you can read the newspaper through, hot and cold running La Cucharacas and bullet-proof glass around the registration desk, this doesn't come as any great shock to us.
I wish I had known of your fetish about disposable slippers a little earlier. We left both sets on our AF flight and also at the Ai Mori. I did manage to grab the jammies from AF and was planning to give them to PBG. But I ended up wearing them as my baggage was delayed.
At any rate, I'll start collecting them for you.

The important thing is that we get a chance to get together again, have a few laughs and to talk about the FT'ers who choose not to come...;).

One will notice that I actually replied for the next meet...   ;)

How big are your feet? We got 3-5 pair of slippers at Ai Mori but for They Must Be Giants. Sort of slid over the heel and up my calf. Definitely a men's 14+. ((Dov don't even go there.)

Great hotel, though. Like MacArthur, I shall return.

I can't wait to see Dov's reply to this. :D

It figures: you were running the drawing. There were no Air France pyjamas when my name was called. I was only able to get a marvelous Cholula denim shirt :-: :-: :-: which I can wear anywhere. (And I have a huge supply of worn out t-shirts for other occasions.)

Replying is one thing...actually showing up in SAT with Mrs. empedocles is a whole 'nother issue!!
I fully expect you to be there and am looking forward to meeting you!

I agree 100%. Next time we're in Venice, it's the Ai Mori for certain.

My feet are 8 1/2 -- but all of these slippers are the same size. It doesn't matter if they are too big, they are still comfortable.

As to your "don't even go there" remark, you would be surprised about how many women tell me that about their calves.

Dovster when you finally break out the AF slippers, you will like them the best of all. I usually walk right out of the terry cloth hotel slippers, but the AF ones have some stretch in them, and actually stay on your feet.

Unfortunately, one pair of my AF p.j.'s were left in the drawer of my hotel room at the Ai Mori, with some other clothing. They have been shipped to me by Marco, and I am looking forward to their return. I can report that they are very comfortable to wear while trimming the Christmas tree!

I certainly hope I don't prefer the AF ones. I have a fighting chance of getting some of you to send me hotel slippers, what are the odds of getting anybody to fly AF in First just to make my feet comfortable?

Somehow, I have the feeling that this will not be a crucial factor for me. ;)

Along with the comment by Punki in another thread about how Dovster reminds her of someone she once dated, I can now see why Dovster fantasizes about being a “ladies’ man” with the women of FlyerTalk.

With these comments to further feed into his fantasies about the women of FlyerTalk — and Cholula (!) — Dovster now has enough material to supply his dreams every night for the next six months...

For the sake of total accuracy here, let me also add that Punki said he actually reminded her of a weird guy she once dated....:D.

Cholula, I forgot in which thread that milepost resides.

Could you please find it, link it and quote it in this thread for posterity and some harmless good-natured fun?

If not, it is not important. Thank you, Cholula.

I had to dig it out of an OMNI thread but here it is for the annals.....
