PBGal A's parents won't even let her go to Colorado for a weekend, let alone ISRAEL. But that's no matter - I think I'd rather go to a place like Israel solo anyhow.

Now I just have to get through the 215 (!) posts on that thread...

platbrownguy....we kind of pieced together what was happening while at breakfast Monday morning. We had walked past platbrowndude and platbrowngal while trudging into the dining room and nodded to them as they were sitting so patiently with their bags packed. And waiting for the eventual appearance of their savior and benefactor, platbrownguy.
Some 30 minutes later, into the dining room walks platbrowntrash....err...platbrowngal asking what she should do. She said you were to meet them at X o'clock and it was now Y o'clock.
We suggested they hit the road...err...canal asap and head to the airport. Evidently they made it OK as you reported above.
At any rate, it WAS fun to meet both of them and, of course, you. And you can take pride in the fact that between your travails and Canarsie's unerring sense of direction in VCE, we have enough fodder to keep the DL Forum entertained for months/years to come....:D.

I have added Dorlee's pictures to my VCE photo album. Unfortunately, they only caught a small portion of her amazing VCE wardrobe. :D

That is not me in Picture #32 with Joanne.

Frankly, I am disappointed in some of the pictures and worried by others. :(

Okay, the UIG looked very UIGish so I have no problem there, but what about that picture of me grabbing that young Veronese lady's right protuberance? I happen to know that she comes from a good Italian family and has a boyfriend who has already killed one person in a duel -- don't you think it is a bit risky to have this on the net?

Then there is the shot of Monitor stealing a book while I watch. I don't mind if it results in Monitor getting arrested, but I would hate to go as an accomplice.

Even worse is the picture of Mrs. Ralf and I negotiating. Please note the money on the table and Mrs. Ralf counting. True, this is often the only way that I can get attractive young ladies to have anything to do with me but is it really necessary to post this where Ralf can see it?

Punki put her reputation in grave danger by allowing a picture to be taken with her arm around me. What was hidden from the camera was the fact that her other hand was picking my pocket. Without this being made clear, FlyerTalkers may come to mistaken conclusion that she actually liked me, thus making her personna non grata on the board.

Lastly, but far from leastly, there are pictures of me with both Cholula and Canarsie. These two "gentlemen" are moderators! I want to make it very clear that it was not me in those pictures but rather a professional Dovster impersonator.

Anybody who knows me should realize that I would never sink so low as to be seen in public with moderators!

Right you are, Canarsie, that is Lili-Dui's son, Michael. (& what a fine young man he is).

He is very nice.

However, I wonder if he and Dovster should have been gorging on all of the seafood at the main meal...

I want to state for the record that I stayed away from all creepy-crawly things that were dredged out of the sea.

(In fact, that was the reason they had to hire someone to impersonate me for those pictures with Canarsie and Cholula.)

I understand that Dovster requested squid ink risotto when he returned to Milan with Bianca and that Michael now makes a wicked cioppino.

I have just spent the last hour watching the CD of our VCE meet. What a wonderful collection of photographs and memories. Thank God, Dorlee got a photograph of the delicious chocolate dessert :)

Thanks for posting the photos, Punki . I wish I knew how to do that. I especially like the way they are arranged on each page, and the fact that they are so easy to view.

Michael acted as tour guide of the Island of Murano the day we went with Lili-Dui, and her sister. He was very patient with the fact that we are "slow" walkers, and like to look in every shop window ;) He's a doll.
