Just a quick bump for those who haven't seen my photos yet (post 1691).

Kathy,

While your collection, on a whole, was excellent I am afraid that it was destroyed by your unfortunate decision to include pictures of:

1. Creepy, crawly, things from the sea.
2. A creepy, crawly, thing from Yiron.

friends questioned why we would go to Paris in February. We had to remind them that we live in Chicago; how bad could the weather be in Paris? It was well below freezing, snowy and quite windy in Chicago, Paris was a balmy 4 degrees C and a bit overcast, and we enjoyed strolling the boulevards.
Your are sooooooooooo right. Last January we found some $300.00 upgradeable fares to Paris and had two free weekend Starwood nights to use, so we jumped on a plane, flew in business to Paris and stayed for free at the Prince de Galles in a gorgeous suite, and enjoyed an unbelievably crisp, clear sunny weekend.

We also enjoyed glorious weather in Venice in November, despite all of our pre-trip anxt over boots and floods.

San Antonio, on the other hand, presented an entirely different set of challenges. :D

I hope Florence is absolutely fabulous for those lucky enough to be enjoying this week in that lovely city.

Weather is beautiful in Florence this week- it's full summer there now.

Lucky you, Gargoyle. Enjoy!

Wow! We finally hit 1700 posts on this thread! Are we going for 2000, or is it time to retire this one?

Nope, I'm not there now. When I was there last week it was a bit cool, but a friend e-mailed me this morning to tell me how nice the weather is, full summer has arrived.

I'm back in Chicago, we had a brief summer last week but that's over, it's in the high 40's here.

At least with the new MQM structure I'm getting 1 MQM per mile on any class, instead of the .5 that I was getting last year when I'd fly over on Alitalia.

Just returned from VCE where I attended the wedding of our dear Marco Musco and his lovely bride,Elena. The Hotel Ai Mori was very very busy. Apparently, the cognessenti have caught on to this place. Marco's wedding was glorious. I was in VCE for 6 days. Oh, it was so hot and humid. Ai Mori has fabulous air-conditioning. Be thankful, FT'rs that the "DO" was in November. Jet lag is nasty at the moment so I will write more tomorrow, when, (hopefully) all of the synapses are firing.

Look at the stats on this one.

Dovster 421
obscure2k 199
Cholula 183
Canarsie 101

First place is more than twice as many as second place.

Indufan, that's nothing. Take a look at the stats on the Tel Aviv Meet thread:

Dovster 240
apirchik 62
Canarsie 58
dedehans 37
Traveller 29

The reason in both cases: People had a lot of questions for me to answer.

Dovster...that's ONE of the reasons.
The other is that you are now one of the two Certified PowerPosters™ in the Delta Forum.

I think that was a typo. The author of that phrase meant to refer to Canarsie and myself as certifiable posters.

I may have to get the mattress police after you. It's PowerPosters™. I didn't realize that this distinguished title was just for the Delta forum.
