I just keep getting a craving for a Bellini, and happened to see one being made on the cooking channel. Unfortunately it is not like being at Harry's Bar, nor will it taste exactly the same, but here it is if you want to try it.

I think somewhere I heard that Harry's uses white peaches, and I don't know when they will be in season. I am sure o2k knows the history of the drink, as it was she who took us there for our initiation. What bliss!

Faux Harry's Bellini
Two ripe peaches, with skins, seeded & chopped
1 tbsp. lemon juice
1 tbsp. sugar

Puree in food processer. Sieve it to take any bits of skin out. Put a couple of tablespoons of puree in the bottom of a champagne flute, and fill the glass with prosecco.

Close your eyes, and imagine you are back in VCE with all the Flyertalkers ;)

Dorlee, of all the upcoming meets the one I would most like to be at is the one in SAT -- not because of the city but because of the attendees.

Unfortunately, it is impossible for me to go for a number of reasons. Most of those reasons make me unhappy. One makes me very happy: The UIG will be in Israel from Feb 22 until March 6.
