Looking for any Business Intelligence consulting opportunities

I'm an ERP technical consultant skilled in all things SQL, Crystal Reports, Reporting Services (SSRS), DTS, ETL, and much, much more. I'm very interested in specializing in business intelligence, but I'm having difficulty getting my foot in the door. I've been in a customer-facing role for the past 3 years doing technical consulting and development for a number of different projects related to ERP implementations, integrations, and reporting.

If anyone is aware of any BI consulting opportunities that might be a fit for someone who has the fundamentals but who hasn't necessarily held the title of "BI Consultant", please PM for a resume. I'm very eager to hear about whatever opportunities might available. Unfortunately, I cannot relocate at this time, but I'm open to as much travel as is necessary. Thanks for your consideration!

I'm a middle manager at a small-medium Southern California Company.

Pension plan terminated last year, drastic staff reductions, every indicator down dramatically, just settled a big consumer lawsuit, no holiday party, no raises this year, etc.

Should I be looking for a new position?

Unless you want to reword your post in the future to read: "I used to be a middle manager at a small-medium Sourthern CAlifornia Company and now I need a job!"

Of course I am spreading the resumes around, but I have to admit, I actually look forward to coming in now, and hanging out more on FT.

When I'm not working on my screenplay, that is. :D

Looking for Positions

Hello. I am graduating Law School (Penn State Dickinson) with my J.D. in May and am looking for a permanent position. I am most interested in litigation work (my litigation experience has been entirely within the energy field) but am also interested in many non-legal jobs in the sales, customer service, and management areas especially in the energy, hospitality and transportation fields. My long-term goal is to make it into a high management position or to be doing international work.

My bachelor's degree is in International Relations and I have clerked for a private law firm as well as the Office of Administrative Litigation at a Federal agency. At the agency I was tasked with a little bit of everything and even won an Informal Recognition Award for my efforts in a particular Docket. I am currently interning 32+ hours a week for the same agency.

When I was still doing retail sales I was consistently the top performer at my location, regardless of which company I was working for (Clarks, Aerosoles, Burberry).

Regardless of whether you have a legal job open, I believe the problem solving skills I learned in law school will assist me in my work.

I am available to start the last week of August and do not have a geographic preference. If you hire me I will move wherever the job is! Please PM for a resume, references, etc...

I had the privilege of doing a job for another FlyerTalker this month. It delivered today. From the e-mail I received this afternoon, it appears that everything went perfectly, without a hitch.

Thank you, FlyerTalk, for hooking me up with a high-quality customer who made business a pleasure. ^
