Not-UnEmployed

I have a quick question? I work for Uncle Sam. He is a good employer. I enjoy the work. I would not mind working oversea in the private sector. But the problem is the requirements in these ads. They are very intimidating. I feel so under-qualified.

My question is who is writing these ads? And who meets these requirements?

Hi all,

I recently started working as an IT recruiter in North Carolina. I know this is not the type of consulting most of you do but if I can ever help anyone just PM me and let me know.

MBA Internships?

This thread hasn't been bumped in a while...still think it's a good one, even though as the economy has gotten better there have been less posts in the past year or so.

If anybody out there is with an organization that has a summer internship program for MBAs, I'm trying to begin the process. I'll be available to work anywhere in the world for 6-8 weeks, beginning July 1. Language fluency in English and Spanish, so that's my only limiting factor in terms of location.

My previous functional experience has been in sales, communications and project management, across a variety of sectors including manufacturing, entertainment and non-profit. Looking forward, my emphasis is on management consulting or general management, possibly with a human resource focus.

If anybody's involved with your organization's internship program, or if you are willing to pass me a name, please drop me a PM (and I'll be glad to send my CV if appropriate).

Graduating Soon

Hi all,

I have been active in the job market for quite some time and still have yet to nail down my dream job (or as close as I can get) to start in June 2006. I will graduate GW this spring with a BA in International Affairs (concentrations Conflict & Security and Latin America) and Spanish and minors in History and Political Science and have completed courses at both the undergrad and graduate levels. I have an excellent analytical mind and am quite used to working in extremely stressful situations and I am not afraid to get my hands dirty nor to work extra to insure that a project gets done right.

I currently work for a top 10 executive search firm where I am actively involved in recruiting, search strategy and placements. Previously I was a member of the certification team for a recently launched (and still flying airline). I am one of the youngest people in the country with any experience with the FAA CSET process; I managed production of a manuel, performed extensive market research into air travel patterns and worked with companies on both sides of the Atlantic. I have also interened on the Hill on the House side and worked as a camp counselor.

I am open for relocation to most any major city in the United States but if given the choice would prefer the East Coast. In terms of a job type I am open for most anything but would prefer not to do a sales position; and of course travel is not an issue (this is FT after all :D )

If you know of anything please e-mail or PM me and I will be sure to get a resume to you ASAP. Thanks for your help.

Summer Internship

I am an economics/neuroscience major at Claremont McKenna College in Los Angeles, seeking an internship in the aviation sector for this upcoming summer. Specifically, I am looking for a position that would expose me to the regulatory aspects of the business (fifth freedom rights, open skies, etc), or the corporate/planning divisions of airlines (route development, aircraft retirement, revenue management). Location is not an issue. Please PM me for my resume or with any ideas.
