Gaz, are you coming to lunch on Saturday? If so, will you be able to direct me to Hotel 81? How far is this from where we will be eating? Is it a taxi ride, or walking distance?

My current plan is head out for massage on Saturday afternoon, sometime after lunch.

mjm, I went to your website to get info on where we are meeting for Sunday lunch. It says "Venue: Various (route to be advised) ". Can you advise us?

This also means that VDBs and op-ups will be available,
it looks like.
Looking very good for some folks if things hold...

So what would be an acceptable offer from UA to get any of us to extend in SIN or NRT? Most of us have upgraded, so we would certainly want the upgrade protected for a future flight. This sounds like a good topic over drinks in SIN.

Hi Carol,

Good point. Knew I forgot something. That was one event which transpac was going to nbe in charge of. I can cover the coordination of this I think though. I believe that he had Newton Circus in mind when he made the initial suggestion. This is a Food Court near the Sheraton. Much like Lau Pa Sat which is where people are going on arrival on Friday, but different. Clearly it is early a.m. here because when I reread that last sentence it makes less and less sense.

I would suggest that for ease of communicataing with taxi drivers, coordinating with the majority of FTers, etc. that we make the lobby (concierge desk) of the Sheraton the rendezvous point at 12:00.

I will watch the thread for responses to this and then add these details to the page if it seems to fly with everybody.

Talk to you soon,

Mike

As long as they confirm me in C or F on a later flight I might give up my seat for very little compensation. You can't really put a value on being able to spend time with friends you don't see often.

Ok my feelings are hurt. I was on the list and now I'm off the list again? Not very nice guys. After the day I've had. I just want everyone to know the trouble I have gone through. This morning I overslept for my AA flight to NRT from FLL (first time ever) so this made me miss my NW flight. So then I still wanted to come so I got on a flight connecting in ORD, LAX, HKG, and then SIN. Well the flight from FLL-ORD was leaving late and I would have misconnected. So now at 10:30. I have found a way to go MIA-JFK-NRT-SIN. So after all that please, just please put me back on the list

Confirmed finally !

Hello everyone, I am currently in LHR waiting for TG911 (can't they change that flight number ??) to BKK. Providing no problems arise collecting tickets in BKK will be on SQ63 on Saturday arriving 14.40 and staying at the Conrad.

I am another non-seafood eater and it looks like I may not be alone ! Looking forward to it. As I don't know anyone I presume it won't be difficult to find the FT'ers at the Conrad ? .

Cheers,

Cheers,
We'll be in the lobby bar from 6pm onward, ready to jump in the van that Mike has obtained at 6:30pm. Our group will easily be the largest, so should be quickly identifiable. Or, you can be gutsy and ask whoever you see in the lounge if they are FTers.

Looking forward to meeting you, MAN Flyer.

Better news and worse news: Bennie called again -

Y is oversold by between 35 and 115 on all the eastbound
transpacs on Monday with C not more than half on some.

On the other hand, she's not going to show up at all,
because she can't get out on the 17th on any airline!

At this point, I have an extra bed at the Marina Mandarin
if anyone is hard up for accommos; if I don't hear by
Saturday lunch, though, I'll change my reservation.

P.S. According to its website, No Signboard has chicken
and bean curd dishes. Also some nice-sounding vegetable
dishes, but some shrimp or oyster sauce or conpoy will
probably sneak into most of them unless you specifically
request otherwise.
