Found: New outlet of No Signboard Seafood Restaurant
was just at the Esplanade this evening and saw that there is a new No Signboard Seafood Restaurant outlet there.. (lots of congratulatory bouquets outside the shop).
not sure if anyone wants to check it out during the SIN RUN next year; perhaps the view would beat the Geylang one (??) (not too sure whether the prices vary though) but it would certainly be much nearer for those staying at Conrad & Ritz C.
anyway, just thought i'd post the news here (la!)
last but not least, best wishes to all FTers for a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Should I be concerned? UA upgrades.
Two of my four flights are on the waitlist for upgrade. This is uncomfortable. My UA status is 1k/mm. Should I be concerned? I am outbound SFO to HKG which is on the waitlist. My outbound SIN to NRT is also on the waitlist. I prefer not to leave SFO in Y. Read that as if I am in Y I will be on another carrier in F using points. I have loads of UA and AA points so spending those is always a welcome option. I would like to start the year with lots of UA EQMs. Opinions please.

Sean and I are now leaving on the Monday am UA back to HK, as I have to travel on further west that evening.
Regarding Thailand, please do go to the unaffected areas, such as Bangkok, Ko Samui, anywhere on the Gulf of Thailand.. the country and it's tourism industry needs your support, but please, don't go to Phuket just yet, it will take a long time to re-build.
Also, since we are all fans of Asia, I'd like to propose making a donation to the Singapore Red Cross Appeal for the Earthquake and Tidal Wave Victims, see link to press release: http://www.redcross.org.sg/press_bayofbengal_appeal.htm

Our webpage has been updated again to reflect CGK's details, new Historical Walk attendees, and less time in Sentosa
I fully support GK's suggestion, and would like to suggest that as we are going to be coming in at a variety of times and not meeting as a whole group until Saturday night that this can be most easily accomplished as a group at dinner Saturday night and then by asking one of the people staying on through Monday to drop by the Red Cross Building to take in any group donation we manage to collect.
I am going to have limited web access from 12/30-1/3 so any updates not done before then will be done after that period.
Wishing you all a safe and happy New Year.
Mike

Page updated to show GoingAway's hotel accomodations.
A note to all coming to dinner:
The Red Cross is not the only one accepting S$ in cash on this trip. As our group is the size that it is we shall need to have everybody with cash in hand to pony up for the bill. A multi-spilt 46 ways on individual cards is not really feasible I think. Also for the ride from the Conrad to the restaurant and back we will each need a few bucks local currency. In past the ride has cost each person S$12-15 and dinner was not expensive at all. Everyone's cooperation on the local curency thing is much appreciated in advance.
