I am fine with any of those dates, but I will require an over abundance of sous chefs and wine boys & girls to make regular trips to the "Wall O’ Wine™"

Perhaps you can SDC to the morning flight on Friday, or at the very least, you can catch leftovers and leftover wine (if there is such a thing ) at the tail end of the BBQ. They do tend to run pretty late.

Forgot about SDC and doesn't have to follow the one stopover rule. My flight to PDX is not till 12:30 am. My current booking has only 2.5 hour connection. If I can SDC I can catch the beginning of the BBQ just have to drink light

All flights booked. Extending my stay to 9/11. Appreciate the suggestion to spend more time at Denali but the group trip will be my 2nd visit (prior cruise). Considering the train to Fairbanks RT to wrap it up.
What is, "Choose Your Own Adventure Featuring Clamming"?

Something beckoa adds to every Alaska Do thread. Thankfully, he never actually follows through with his threat to drag us all down to the beach at Kasilof and dig through the muck for slimy balls of snot.

How anyone can find that interesting is simply beyond me...

It was announced in the Peninsula papers last week that the clam population has crashed and most, if not all of the beaches will be closed for the entire season. Tests at the beaches show a 75-90% fall of in the number of clams counted.

Oh, good! The CYOA portion of the Do will no longer involve choosing to go clam digging with beckoa!

(Not that it ever did...)

An upgrade? I still need to visit CDV, YAK and DLG after DUT to fill out my AS map within Alaska

Yes this is true. I recall reading this last month and was saddened by it. Hopefully a closure in 2015 will yield more for 2016.

Well if we went to the West Side of Cook Inlet... (this would require a charter though )

I think I may need to confer with others, but a Saturday BBQ was arranged to allow 2 days of travel on the return to maximize award space availability, and serve as a bit of a buffer in the event of wx impacting our travel like it did last year
