Let me try spelling this out like this:

1) When you register for the Chicago Seminars you pick your sessions. Registering entailed going to http://chicagoseminars2013.eventbrite.com, filling out some forms, and submitting payment.

2) Registration is currently closed / no further spaces are available for purchase. If you would like to attend you must find someone willing to transfer their ticket to you. Doing this would incur a $20 transfer fee payable to [email protected] (which will be donated to charity after the event is complete), plus whatever you and the original ticket holder agreed upon for the price

3) If you do transfer a ticket and are not happy with the sessions selected, contact [email protected] with what you'd like to change and if space is available in the desired session I'll move you from one to the other. If no space is available you are out of luck and must stick with the initial selection

In my experience, during past Chicago seminars you could just go to whatever session you want, regardless of what you registered for. I'm not saying you were supposed to do so, but nobody would stop you.

One month to go! For those who haven't made air and/or hotel bookings:

1. Air fare discounts -- see Post 62 for UA, Post 158 for DL & Post 196 for AA.

2. Hotel discounts -- complimentary membership to YourRoomKey.com available to attendees. Send email to [email protected] and respond to the auto-reply email. Rooms still available at the Sheration Gateway Suites ORD for $79 + tax which is adjacent to the overflow hotel -- walk 200 feet and catch the shuttle to the host hotel.

Host Hotel for October 11th (Friday) Night

Hi,

I'm coming from overseas and may not be able to make it Friday night. I've already booked the host hotel for that night but not sure if there's a way to get out of it. Could someone please tell me if I can cancel or transfer it to someone else?

FYI - I wasn't planning and don't have a room for Saturday night.
