I think it's a different Ben's

There are two Ben's I'm guessing: the one at 209 W. 38th St., which I've personally never been to so couldn't comment one way or the other.

And then there's the Ben's in Rego Park on Queens Blvd., which is in the Amex Rewards Network dba SkyMiles Dining program, and is perhaps my favorite place in the world to eat.

Also, Dovster: you can take me off the list -- I have at least one final scheduled for the 14th, so I won't make it back to NYC in time

Yeah, when I was young I used excuses like that, too. Generally "a test I can't miss" translated into a "a miss I would like to test".

Anyhow, you are off the list and good luck -- no matter which it is.

There is a chain of kosher delis called "Ben's", and the one in Manhattan is part of that chain. (The other outposts are on Long Island and in Boca Raton.)

The unrelated kosher deli in Rego Park is "Ben's Best", and I think it is superior to the Ben's chain.

I just had a flashback and realize I have eaten at Ben's in Boca Raton...was sh*t.

I hope that I can upgrade you to the "Definite" list at some point, but was happy to at least add you to the "Possible" one.

I realize that all of this is very far in advance and we will have to take a closer look at who is coming or not in early November. Right now, however, it is helpful to get at least an idea of how many people we will/might have.

I hope so as well, as we need stockmanjr to provide the chicken stock for the matzoh ball soup...

And, you are on the "Definite" list.

I look forward to seeing you again, no matter how that other thing (which may be mentioned only in OMNI/PR) works out.

Shalom

If I were in the US I would love to join in.

However I will brush the flies off me, and have a cold Sauv Blanc on Bondi Beach and be with you in spirit

I hear that it is overrated and overpriced but the only way to know for sure is for me to make a personal visit.
