Added to the "Tentative" list!

UA has a nonstop, too, that leaves a few hours before AS's.

In years past, I think AA had a nonstop to ORD, but I don't see that on the schedule for this year.

If you want to leave Sunday night, AS's would work well for the BBQ. If you want to stay a couple of days, feel free--we'll keep you occupied!!

Hotel done

Aurora Executive Suite booked for 2 nights.

Now we have rooms for two after parties with Cholula hosting the other one

Why would you say that?

I would think that Cholula will host both parties.

With the crowd we are anticipating, I think it may take both rooms. Also, I think I'll have the better wine list

I was just kidding about my room.

Having waited so long to book the room, all they had left was the janitor's broom closet.

Whoever is willing is welcome to join us. I'm shipping up a case of 2012 Ripple Vino especially for the occasion.

Not sure I want to get quite that up-close-and-personal with you...

He wants Chinese Food... and has been banned from the *one* place in OME that serves it- that's all (Seinfeld reference )

I think that 90% of our checked luggage will contain 10% or higher content of fermentation

I'm seriously considering this trip -- think it's possible to get an AA/AS award ticket BOS-OME? However, Looking at the bug/mosquito pix does give one pause, especially after spending many late spring days in Maine, when the black flies are the thickest... it's giving me flashbacks!

It would be great to spend midsummer's night in the midnight sun... and I have an image of Nome from an old Jean Shepherd TV show with the grand master of talk walking along the shoreline reflecting on being THERE.

So put me down as a strong maybe...

Done!

Still working on the railroad tickets. Everything else is pretty much set in stone, so if you guys want to start making your travel arrangements, the details can be found in the first few posts of this thread.

Are there any hotels other the the Aurora Inn in Nome? I just emailed them for a quote.

For the date of arrival in ANC, I booked the Ramada (cancelable rate) since their website lists airport and railroad shuttle included. It was $179++ which seems to average for moderate hotels. Is it really not recommended? I wanted to book at Inlet Towers again but no rooms are available

I think i got the last one sorry All I see is Choice which wont help as IIRC AA awards book under AS's Super Saver. I don't see any super saver for the entire month of June from BOS-ANC

Yes, but you don't want to stay in any of the others. You have been warned.

It's not the nicest place in Anchorage. Depending on your personal standards, it will probably range from "acceptable" to "check out 30 seconds after entering the room and sanitize your skin in a cauldron of boiling hot water." You have been warned.
