Other Suggested activities: While I've been elsewhere in China, this would be my first visit to Shanghai. If there's a local who could give a not-touristy tour of the city, that would be interesting. Always prefer to try local cuisine in restaurants not aimed at Westerners or tour groups.

Well if your looking for award seats its time to start now. I'm currently booked on AA in F.
Arriving PVG on 11/10/11
Departing PVG on 11/16/11
My flights are not set in stone because i'd rather pay the extra 5K points to use a non-us based airline ( no availability yet). Not sure if i will be able to handle AA F after flying CX F in May
. There does apear to be CX F available but I'd have to take extra vacation days to get it.

Glad to have 'ellyse' onboard as another SH local.
Hotel has yet to be decided but it will most likely be a western chain.
