Sorry to miss you, GO - you could have swung by afterwards, we were there for awhile. Great seeing everyone last night.

Since this thread has not been active for a while and nothing has been scheduled for this month, I thought that I might propose next Friday, March 26.

We are working and staying out at the Beltway and 50 so anything in DC would need to be at 7 or later for us. In VA, the only constraint is that we will be finished on the job a bit before 6.

I am soliciting opinions from any of the regulars here who would like to suggest a place that they like (if Friday is convenient).

Too bad since I figured that would be a good time to give you a check for May.

Maybe gvdIAD will be around next weekend although that has recently not been the norm.

I believe he is, but regardless gvdIAD can take your check at the end of the month if that works for him, as can conditionOne who is our official banker for the Do.

I will be around, but will have an out-of-town relative visiting that weekend. She's scheduled to arrive at DCA about 6:00 pm, so it is highly unlikely that I'd be able to make a Friday evening event. Regardless, I'll post this as a confirmed event once you've picked a time and venue.

In that case, it looks like I will keep it really convenient for us and give the Sea Pearl a go for dinner. Its fusion menu was really nice for lunch and their other restaurant across the street (Four Sisters) will be ridiculously crowded on a Friday night.

If anyone wishes to join us, let me know if 7 or 730 is suitable.

Just a word of warning:

7 should be OK, but if you wait until much later it can get !!REALLY LOUD!! in there if the band is performing. One night I was in there on either a Fri or Sat it was painful.

You are correct on 4 Sisters, though I like the food at 4 Sisters better.

I live not too far from there but my schedule for next week is still up in the air. Will have to let you know next week.

Done deal.

We should be at the Fairview Park Marriott by 530 at the dead latest and let's move the Sea Pearl to Thursday. Is 630 good for you? I will e-mail gvdIAD and let him know.

ETA to add: Also I can get some riders at Dunn Loring if somebody wants to Metro out there.

Count me in. Either 7pm or 7:30pm works just fine.

I guess my edit to 630 was kind of tardy. Can you make 630 or is 7 the earliest you can get there?

fireworksboy and I will be in town over Easter weekend. Any locals (or non locals) planning to attend the fireworks show Saturday night (April 3, 8:30pm) and want to meet up beforehand?
