I guess that means we have to schedule something. How long has it been since you last attended a DC event -- a year?

Lunch is generally an easier reservation for a larger group, so let's plan on lunch on Saturday, February 27, 2010. Would sometime between 1:00 pm and 1:30 pm work for people?

Following up on tonywestsider's comment, would people be interested in again trying for lunch at Jaleo? Someplace else in the Penn Quarter? I've had service issues at Oyamel the two times I've been there, so wouldn't put it high on my list of choices.

Please post to the thread if you're interested.

Funny, that's how I feel about Jaleo

We should also do a dinner on Sunday for PHLBuddy ... let's shoot for something clarendon/arlington for that one (between metro and rides, it'd be accessible)

Sunday dinner would also work for me. Clarendon probably has the most restaurant choices on the VA portion of the Orange line, though I'd also be willing to try Ballston or VA Square if anyone can recommend a restaurant in either of those neighborhoods.

Should I consider you a "yes" for both Sat & Sun, GoingAway?

Argh... Another bad day for me. That weekend I'll be eating 8+ different pastas and 20+ different wines. Considering that I left DC to get away from the snow, I'm stuck in Ohio during their mini-blizzard...

This should teach you: you have to run your plans by me in advance to see whether there a likelihood of a DC event on a particular day, and if there are, you reschedule your other plans, since the DC event necessarily has precedence!

I too failed to run that weekend's attendance at the *wood DO in Austin by gvdIAD. Why should I when he is never in town on a weekend?

And I am sure that headinclouds was also surprised by so much weekend activity.

Put me as tenative for Sat (pending if I go to a basketball game or not) and a def for Sunday in Clarendon.

Regarding Clarendon, I've always wanted to try Eat-Bar and think it would be fun for a small group (Just order a bunch of small plates) and relatively inexpensive. It's walking distance from the Clarendon metro.

Folks,

I took a flight opportunity I couldn't resist for that weekend and forgot that a lunch or dinner was in the works for Sat. or Sun. I will take a snowcheck for next weekend and join in for the next event during March.

I've added Sunday dinner, February 28, with PHLbuddy to the confirmed events in the first post. I'm thinking somewhere in or near Clarendon/Courthouse on the orange line. Suggestions? Who plans to attend, assuming we can finalize a location?
