  1. What are the most current working links?
  2. Is this card churnable?
  3. How frequently can I apply for these cards?
  4. Do I have to close my previous card before reapplying?
  5. I got the 60K card and bonus but when I finished the spend on my second 60K card I did not get the bonus. What happened?

[1] What are the most current working links?

There is a standard offer for 50K points after $1K spend in 4 months. (No landing page is available for this offer; lnik taken from wiki for http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/citi-...amex-citi.html.)

There are no known 60K offers available. The most recent one expired in late September 2014.

[2] Is this card churnable?
In the past, this card has been easily churnable. However, in December 2014 Citi began inserting language into some applications and landing pages disqualifying current Hilton Visa cardholders & requiring an 18-month wait from the date of the previous card's cancellation. The application link listed above does not include this restriction, and FTers have confirmed that they have been approved through this application despite being current or recent holders of another Citi Hilton card.

[3] How frequently can I apply for these cards?
You can only apply for ONE Citi card in a week or TWO in two months (60 days). To be safe, it is frequently suggested to wait 8+ days between ANY two Citi applications and 65+ days until your third Citi application of ANY kind. These are rolling dates, so you have to wait at least 60 days (65+) from your second application to your 4th applications, and so forth.

If math is not your strong suit, you can use: http://www.timeanddate.com/date/duration.html.

Example:
Day 0 - Citi HHonors Card #1
Day 8 - Citi AA Personal Card
Day 65 - Citi AA Business Card
Day 73 - Citi HHonors Card #2
Day 130 - Citi TY Card

[4] Do I have to close my previous card before reapplying?
Not if you use the application link above. As stated above, in December 2014 Citi began introducing new application pages requiring an 18-month wait since cancellation of the prior card.

Note that when you close an account, Citi may not "free up" the credit limit from that card for as long as 6 months. So if you're going to apply within 6 months, it's better to not cancel beforehand.

[5] I got the 60K card and bonus but when I finished the spend on my second 60K card I did not get the bonus. What happened?
There appears to be a problem with Citi crediting you with both bonuses but Hilton not crediting the second bonus because their system sees it as a duplicate.

You need to open up a case, preferably with Hilton, and explain that you have two separate cards (feel free to explain one is for business and one for personal if they ask why you have multiple cards and you feel like explaining). You also need to diligently check back with them and make sure that they do not close the case as you already got the bonus.

This is very much a YMMV situation. Depending on who you talk to and where, this can be a relatively short process or a particularly unpleasant and long one. Best advice: Be nice to the CSRs and get them on your side or HUACA until you find someone useful.

For some people it may be worth getting the 50K card instead, possibly trying to "bump the bonus" to 60K and getting it as a 10K adjustment instead.

Hilton HHonors Bonus Points - Per dollar spent 226
Hilton HHonors Bonus Points - Category Bonus points 26
Hilton HHonors Bonus Points - Total earned for this period 252
Bonus points should be further broken down right below that under "Bonus Points Earned".

Applied on November 8 using incognito windows with two different browsers with freshly cleared caches. Both apps got stuck at step 3. No other Citi apps within past 5 months and never had this card before. I did not receive any application ID so decided to give it a week to see if I hear anything first before calling (and possibly having to explain why I applied twice). On November 14 I received one card via UPS Next Day Air. On November 15 I received one email congratulating me on new card. Email and card received had last 4 digits of account matching.

At this point it appears my second app just disappeared. I am disinclined to call at this point as that can result in a new credit pull. I can always just wait a few months and apply for 2 more. But, based on my actions and results, is their anything I should have done differently to get both cards? Seems like this might just be a fluke, but want to make sure I didn't make any mistakes so I don't repeat them. Thanks for any advice.

Applied for two online. No instant approval or denial. Called in and was questioned about two of the same cards by a front line CSR. Gave a semi legitimate response. I was then advised, as another member here was earlier, that my second app had the last digit of ny social wrong(which i know it was correct). I was the forwarded to a specialist. I had to close down one of my aadvantage cards to free some credit which resulted in an approval for the first. The second one has been tricky. Unfortunately the specialist had to talk to a sup for an opinion on getting two bonuses. Not because CITI wolnt allow it, but hhonors might not be happy. I hope I'm not burning bridges. I will get a result on the second by Sunday. I didnt get any grief over applying for two cards, both reps were very understanding.

It's best to use Incognito windows on two separate computers or to use two different types of browsers (Chrome Incognito plus IE InPrivate). Otherwise, it may just be a fluke.

Hopefully you didn't ask about the bonus and the supe got concerned on his/her own. This is why the popular opinion here is to ask about bonuses after you receive the card. With Citi, if you get approved, you get the bonus. There's no point in asking during the reconsideration call. Just confuses the issue and leads to way too many questions.

No mention of any bonuses. Played it cool. Credit analyst/specialist caught it all on his own.

I have been waiting, waiting, waiting for my points to post on the second of two 50K cards I applied for in July. The first was approved normally and I got the points normally. However, the second one was denied, denied reconsideration, and eventually approved after a letter to the Executive Office.

I checked and I had not received any points at all, so I sent a secure message and asked if they had my proper HH account and they replied that my points had posted to a new account # they had setup. So I called HHonors and merged the accounts. Problem solved. I am certain I put in the HHonors account number when I applied.

A lot of fuss to hopefully get 50,000 points. I was looking for a room yesterday and the base room was 50,000 points a night - and the next level room ($14 more) was 157,000 points. If I get three cards I'd only need 7,000 more points to spend one night in that room.

HH is a program you have to learn how to earn and burn, but once you do it is highly lucrative

How about 7 nights Conrad Maldives for 237,500?

7 Nights Waldorf Astoria Park City peak ski season 315,000?

You can get two of these cards every quarter. That's 400k per year. Add in two Bank of American Hawaiian cards for another 140k and you have pretty much all the miles you need for both those options, which are among many great values

If on the other hand you want a Hampton Inn next to Scranton Airport, I suggest you stick with high % cash back cards.

+1

There is a lot of HHonors-bashing on FT. Sure, there are a lot of terrible redemption options within the HHonors program. There are also a few great redemptions. With some planning and effort, you can get a lot of value out of these very-easy-to-earn points.

How do you get upgraded to a good room though. 145K points for 4 nights at the Hilton in Hawaii is pretty awesome, but you get the lousiest room available. Is there a way to upgrade to ocean view type rooms for extra $$$?

If you are Hilton Gold/Diamond, you can just ask for it.
I just came back from 6 nights at Hilton Waikoloa Village at Kona.
Booked a Partial Ocean room for 213K and asked for an upgrade at the front desk.
Was upgraded to the Deluxe Ocean View without any extra points or $$.

Great Program if you know how to redeem it at high value properties.
I am planning on around the world trip next year and saving as much as HH points as possible to redeem at Conrad HK, Bali, Singapore, Maldives.

That's some good value redemption

Not always...when going through the process of being approved for both cards last month the CSR (without any prompting from me) stated "I can approve you for the 2nd card if you're willing to move some credit from one of your existing AA cards".
