Without a doubt.

So will the TSA use this moment of American-friendly transparency as an item to further its agenda to unionize, or will the TSA have to settle for just unloading whatever arsenal it can at some scapegoat(s)?

Already on it.

Too bad everyone has gone home for the night. :td:

What do you have against transparency at night time too?

Way too late.

It's already been published by the Federal Government.

It's public domain.

And it's already made its way to more than a few other websites.

Doesn't it seem like it is too late for them to do that given it's already at http://cryptome.org/ at the following URL http://cryptome.org/tsa-screening.zip ?

Thanks, I was trying to follow this thread, and ran into the dead link in:

You da man!! I bow before your awesome research abilities.

Direct link PDF warning.

I have already saved a copy in case they decide to pull the PDF.

Too bad for TSA. Now that the terrorists can read the SOP on the internet, now they'll have to abandon all these secret procedures and reinvent themselves with some new security theatrics.

+1 ^ Scapegoats being served at DHS cafeterias for the next month.

Yes, but now it's on Cryptome, completely unredacted.

Direct link can be found here. http://www.rebelmodel.com/tsa/SOP_NO_SSI.pdf PDF WARNING.

I will print this out tomorrow and read it while I sit for 3 hours getting my infusion.

Merry Christmas to me, Merry Christmas to me.... :D

Anybody expecting the Black Suburbans to be waiting for them when they get up in the morning?

To any LE monitoring this thread, be forewarned I say nothing without a lawyer.

It has gone viral. The editor of that document who redacted it and didn't bother to check if the information was still recoverable bears much of the responsibility for this. The managers who allowed a redacted document like your SOP onto the web should have paid a bit better attention when it comes to document security.

Pretty sweet, the red boxes make the Super Silly Information easy to find.

Trollkiller Dec 6, 2009 9:37 pm

Be honest does this make anyone else giddy?

ND Sol Dec 6, 2009 9:42 pm

I am rather amused to think that we made the TSA work on Sunday to try to clean up a mistake. About the fastest we have seen the TSA react, but the horse is already out of the barn.

I fly tomorrow afternoon. Keeping the ear to ear grin off my face will be quite hard while transiting security. This faux pas is going to cost them in that on top of being obnoxious and rude, they've become a laughingstock as well.

Please print out the document and sit it right on top of your bag. Just for giggles.

Trollkiller,

What about printing out and distributing at the airports? :D

That is not the only place where it is located. The abused horse has gotten out of the barn and it's time to celebrate freedom, right?

If the International Society for Krishna Consciousness is free to distribute their literature to passengers at airports, are others free to distribute the TSA SOP guide to passengers at airports? :D

Ok folks this excitement has kept me up past my bedtime, I have to be up in 4 hours.

Good night and God bless all you rabble rousers.
