ATTACHMENT 7-1: OPENING THE SCREENING CHECKPOINT
Prior to opening a TSA Screening Checkpoint, all of the following tasks must be accomplished.
TASKS: YES NO N/A

13. Required signs at the entrance to the screening checkpoint clearly displayed.

So why are WBI signage not properly placed?

TSA employees not properly doing their jobs?

FWIW, this seems to be the same document that was released earlier this year and as noted in this post: http://www.papersplease.org/wp/2009/...ng-procedures/. The difference is that this one has the electronic "redactions" in it rather than being a print/scan job so it doesn't actually omit the secure stuff. The redactions officially seem to make it no longer SSI but having that "redacted" data still in the document means that it likely still is SSI. Whoopsie.

Of course it was a setup! The only thing that I have found to be almost infallible is shiny stuff... preferably made of gold with rare rocks in them. That usually makes woman happy for at least 8.3 seconds, then they get mad because you spent all that money....

I'm sure it's all being done for the children. It seems a few people at TSA may be learning a valuable lesson on the differences between the newer version of Adobe Reader and the older releaes they may likely be still using.

Hey, watch it, that's how I make my living, beating the daylights out of precious metals at a bench... My work tends to be regarded as prized heirlooms, however. :p

I have the utmost respect for you! I supplement my living by restoring old beatup pieces of precious metals back to their original glory! I have even done work for some museums in the area, and love it just as much as you do!

Yes!

You know what you want but if my experience has taught me anything is when you ask another woman to help you pick something, the something is always wrong.

You can't win for losing.

I do. Unfortunately, that information is SSI, so I can't talk about it. ;)

You just asked the wrong woman for help, TK. In the "helpful" woman's eyes your wife is the other woman.:D

And your not impressed by the security protections someone in your agency used to protect this document?

Nah, in an organization of close to 50,000 with a relatvely high turn over rate, why did it take this long for something like this to come out? Why is SOP still mostly secre to the general population (meaning you)? I'm actually pleasantly surprised.

Beat me to it! :D

This would be fun: dress up in a suit and tie, print that checklist and put it on a clipboard, and walk around the checkpoint looking at things and ticking boxes. See if the BDOs think you're suspicious. ;)

Aww, TK, you were s'posed to think "As long as I have to go to Sears* for a new vacuum, I should go to that nice jewelry shop in the mall and get a Christmas present for my wife." ;)

*When I was a kid, if Sears didn't sell it, you didn't need it. :D

Try Foxit reader. A much smaller footprint than Adobe Reader and IMHO much more stable.
