Out of curiosity, do you folks have the chipped versions of these cards? I have both a chipped Freedom and CSP and haven't seen any of these charges.

Yes, my Hyatt card with fraudulent charges has a chip. Interestingly, fraud line said a physical card was used to attempt to make purchases!

On 6/5/2015 10:30 AM, a transaction in the amount of $2.00 was declined at: SQ *RELAX, CA

This was on a freedom card (formerly a CSP)

On 6/5/2015 4:26 AM, a transaction in the amount of $0.80 was declined at: TORONTO CHILDRENS CHOR

Looking at this thread, I wonder when Chase will announce a data breach, or if is this related to an older one.

It can happen, you can buy blank cards with magnetic strips and then a machine to put the card number on those blank cards, with less than a 200USD investment you can be on your way

My Hyatt card had 10 fraudulent charges of the same amount just under $20.

Not true. My CSP is chipped and the exact same thing happened in March - guessing of the expiration date.

Mine also same day and amount but they blocked the charge. Tonight Chase called and asked if I had put any charges on it in the last 5 days. I said no and they said destroy the cards they were issuing new ones and my old one would no longer function.

So did mine - I talked to them this morning and they confirmed that I had charges on 5/30 and 6/4

My IHG was hacked this week from Brazil $3XX was charged. Chase is issuing me a replacement card.
