I tried the matching, I had the 60k + $50, they said no to 80k + $50, I tried twice via SM, finally I said I'll just take the 80K, they gave that to me and took back the $50.

The 80000 points + $50 credit promo is targeted. I am able to apply when I am already signed in. However, if I am not signed in, it gives me a 404 error.

In the past few days there have been two reports on reddit of people being successful in asking Chase to match the 80k + $50 SC offer:

I've had 4 new Chase cards this year, all co-branded. Have Slate and Sapphire but they're 4+ years old. Got two SW cards in January, the IHG card in May, and just got approved for the Hyatt yesterday.

Signed into the IHG website today and saw a banner for the 80k point bonus. This was different than what I'm usually offered so I tried a dummy booking -- sure enough, I had the 80k + $50 bonus offer.

I don't know if this means the public offer was increased or I've now been targeted when I wasn't before, but it might be worth checking.

80k offer is once-again the public offer: https://creditcards.chase.com/a1/ihg/ihgsaml80

Edit: Sorry to get hopes up, doesn't work.

If I had a nickel for every time someone has mistakenly posted this link ... I'd have 8 nickels!

(ALWAYS test the application button to see if the offer is still live.)

This should also get Spire status with an additional 25,00 points. So basically this is a 105k sign-up bonus.
I think perhaps more have just been targeted for the offer. I would recommend signing into your IHG account before trying the link (or check what offers are available on IHG's site after signing in).

Another datapoint: Applied for the card on 7/14. Sent SM same day. Received reply 7/20 approving me for the 80k points and $50 statement credit.

when do bonus points post?

Applied back in memorial day. Met spend limit in June but barely missed statement closing date so had to wait til July. Chase confirmed pts sent after this one. Called ihg and they said it will now take addl 4-6 weeks (!?!?) Ruined my plans.

Discussed in the wiki at the top of this page; see
Q. Once I meet the $1000 spending requirement, how soon will I receive my bonus points?

Hi thanks. Was on the mobile version and hence wiki did not show up... so the agent (4-6 weeks after points sent) was misinformed then or not? It's been more than 2 days for sure. Chase confirmed they sent the points on sunday. Do other others' experience point to 1-2 days holding up in general?

I was approved for the 60K + $50 offer on June 30th.

I read this on July 21st:

Sent an SM a few minutes later.

Got an SM back on the 22nd stating that I'll get another 20K in points, with no loss of the $50 statement credit!
