It's not just SIN. I'd rather fly and have booked HX to Osaka with a proper flat bed on a red eye than the PoS regional J CX has scheduled. It's a debacle when some of your most captive audience would rather fly HX.

i rather fly to Osaka on Peach.

I've also flown them before and am looking at them for later trips when I really need to get to KIX early to get a train somewhere else. Good schedule - first red eye to land and it doesn't take that long to get to the main terminal. But I don't like their new fare structure where you have to buy the top fare to be able to buy a bulkhead seat. Bundling is so 2000 haha.

If your point is there isn't that much difference between CX regional J and economy, then yeah I agree.

a further slap to the face,

TG and even CZ's new A321neo (not XLR, but for domestic) 's coming in the future have lie flat beds in business, and more legroom in economy, with 13.3 displays. CZ is known for horrible service and cost cutting nowadays so that's a huge twist. now pretty much every asian airline (with a few exceptions) have lie flat in narrowbodies, including JX, KE, CI, TG, CZ, SQ. sad to see cathay regional being far worse than long haul.

maybe in CX next batch of 321neo's they could change the product, as all 16 former KA ones have been delivered

Ditto

If you want to be known as a premium airline then provide a premium product and have confidence in your product when charging a premium price

CX successfully launched DFW. Considering to increase the frequency to daily and more routes to the US. Which further routes are possible?

CX might go back to SEA? And there's also EWR missing from prior to coivd.

What will they use? A321s, the only additions (3) to the fleet coming in 2025 and 2026.

more long haul might be after they get the 777-9s, or somehow more aircraft free up for more long haul service (unlikely considering the current A350 shortage situations)

short haul wise personally i think they'll do more china destinations but not sure

I bet CX can squeeze an extra A350 or 77W to do DFW daily, but otherwise, their fleet will be very tight.

On short and medium haul, dont think they will do more China destinations themselves, but only through UO. They may increase frequencies to existing destinations though. For new routes, maybe central Asia destinations like Kazakhstan is possible with a mix of A330s and A321s?

None in the short term. The trade war means cargo will be way down, and likely at least some passenger business as well. They want to put on a positive face but minimal "White Lotus" traffic is not going to make up for this.

In the longer term nothing more exciting than other destinations discussed previously. SEA would be the most natural but faces the Taiwanese competition bloodbath. I still think MIA is a possibility at some stage and actually a better connector to a lot of Latin America than DFW.

A topic well discussed on this forum. If Starlux manages to join OW, that may further put a dent in business case for CX to fly to SEA.

Alaska may fly Sea instead. I'm thinking PHX is a possibility with AA connections available and the fact that there is TSMC.

so guess they will still be using their 23yo 777-300 if they are gonna to expand their network.

don’t forget there are 6x777-300er lease which will expire in 25/26/27.

What AA connections are available in PHX that aren't at LAX? Also, as soon as a Taiwanese carrier entered the market TSMC wouldn't be very helpful for CX.
