Any worries about row 19 galley noise from behind on an overnight flight in -900?

I remember most of the noise comes from the front gallery.

If I prefer a quieter seat for long haul, should I choose 16A or 20K ? Only these 2 window seats are available for selecting . Thanks

20K will have less foot traffic during the flight but more during boarding. I think catering mostly happens in forward galley, but during meal times you might still have elevated noise levels there. Personally would go with 20K, but neither is a terrible choice.

Thanks for the advice! Havent tried that seat before. As it is close to the lavatory , would I hear a lot of locking and unlocking doors and flushing sound from it?

I was on a red-eye flight from SIN-HKG recently in 18K. I heard some noise from the galley behind during catering but never heard any noise with regard to the lavatory behind.

2 adults & 1 infant (no own seat)

We are flying with our 1.5 year old child business to Hongkong. Which seats would you recommend in the CX A350-900?
We were thinking about booking seats in row A/D or even both in row A. We thought this would be easier to help each other.
What is your experience? Any recommendations?

Hi, I'd like to ask the question choosing 40a/k or 60a/k since I am wondering if 60a/k will be much more bothering by the noise from close to the bath room. Thank you.

Hi,

I'm in 30A. 30C had been bassinet blocked but recently taken. Is it a sure sign that 30C is a bassinet-requiring pax as 30K is still open?

Thank you!

Edit: I have moved to 30K...

Blocked bassinet seat on the seatmap does not necessarily mean it has been taken. I often called into the call center and requested them to slate me in the bassinet seat if no one has really taken it yet. Of course, should a parent with a baby eventually wants to take that seat, it will go to them and I will have to be allocated somewhere else. But most of the time, I eventually got to sit there.

Hi entflight,

Ah, so the bassinets can be selected by calling in (and are just blocked on web/app self service). Maybe the person who took 30C really likes 30C even though 30HK was open...maybe they prefer the asile (30C/H) and assumes 30K will be eventually taken anyway, and so chose 30C over 30H for better service on the left side (apparently) and/or get on/off faster....

As gold and diamond, I did that many times before by calling in and requested to block the bassinet seat. But in the end if a parent later comes asking for that seat, it has to be released to them and you will not get any notification for being bumped. According to call center, for business class and premium economy seats, all members can call in and request to block the bassinet seat. But for economy, the first six rows of seats will not be open for green and silver members to choose until online check-in opens, so they cannot call in to block the bassinet seat. However the green and silver members can pay a fee of around HK300-400 to block the seat including the bassinet seat for these first 6 rows in economy. But if eventually the seat has to go to parent/baby, the fees will not be refunded.

Beware that sometimes even after I had blocked the bassinet seat, not sure if it's system problem, I was randomly thrown to another seat after a few days even though no one has taken the bassinet seat. And I did not receive any notification for having bumped.

This is true but if bumped in this way the fee paid can be used to take another preferred/chargeable seat if any remain available.

Some advice please, taking 10 hour flight on PE. Was originally thinking 30G as no one in front of me reclining. However now thinking 32G is better as I can recline my seat whole flight without feeling guilty of impeding the person behind me. Is the wall behind it blocking the full recline? Thoughts please!

The wall doesn't limit the amount you can recline. Both the first and last row is great.
