Flying LHR-HKG on an A350-1000 tomorrow. I have reserved seat 30A. I am curious to know if there is more legroom on the 30HK side (both currently unoccupied) as 30AC is located right behind the bathroom.

I'd stick with 30A. Also there's a chance you'll get op-upped tmr. flights are looking quite full this weekend.

Thank you both. It will be my elderly father's first time travelling in business in a long time and I just want to be sure I am in the best possible seat position to help if he needs anything.

11DG versus 30A is a good question though.

What I found interesting is that I was told at check-in that seat 30C had technical issued and would remain unoccupied. I was also told how lucky I was as that was the only empty seat onboard. Guess I ended up getting even better luck 🤣

They gave me 23G. My boarding pass made an unusual sound at the gate but the ground staff didn’t seem to care or notice. I boarded the plane and saw someone else sitting in 30A. I spoke to a cabin crew member and they told me to wait by the door and offered me a glass of champagne. 2 minutes later another cabin crew member hands me a new boarding pass and says i’ve been upgraded.

CX tone are rather soft, unlike the AA boarding out of group tone.

The pros would set seat change alerts on EF. I normally would refresh my mobile boarding pass through CX’s app. But it spoils the fun though
