https://www.cathaypacific.com/cx/en_HK/travel-information/flight/aircraft-fleet/777-300/777-300er-77h.html

F seats:
1A - very private. Protected by the divider between it and the D seats.

J seats:
Row 11, 12 mini-cabin - very quiet and private
15A has no windows
21 only 1 window.

Y+ seats:
32H/K have lots of legroom.
30D/E/F/G have huge legroom, but passengers walk in front of you to access bathroom. Light spills from bathroom particularly onto 30G.
31A has no window.
34H gets disturbed by the Y section curtain.

Y seats:

77G (777-300ER, no F cabin)

Y+ seats:
Row 30 has good legroom

Y seats:
Row 39 and 67 are bulkheads with better than average legroom and fold out IFE screens
Row 46 missing the window
Row 53 ABC, HJK has very generous legroom but are missing window due to EMEX position. A and K have emergency slide constraining leg room. All seats are near lavs, so some congregation of people. 53DEF has good legroom at bulkhead.

Row 21 would be my preference in this situation. You'll have the main cabin filing past you on boarding, but 11A/K really are vcery close to the galley and WCs at the front, with a lot of foot traffic and potential for noise and disturbance. Ideally I'd be picking something in rows 15, 16, or 17, A/K.

I used to do 15DG on 77G but switched to 11DG on recommendation of other flyers. No galley or WC noise concerns (c.f. 11DG on 33E/K or 35G)

I guess it depends on how sensitive a person is to noise and increased foot traffic. I tend to stay away from any seats at the very front of rear of the cabin unless there's no other option.

Well let me say I found row 12 on a 77H noisy.

11A/K

Hi,

Does anyone have any opinions on 11A/K as I generally choose seats in the middle of the cabin (for the 3-class 777) and would like to see whether these seats are great for a day flight.

Cheers.

This is pretty subjective... but if you're happy with a seat in the middle of the cabin, why change? Row 11 is close to the galley, close to the forward WC. Both cause increased foot traffic. Row 11 has a bulkhead smack-bang in front (can reduce the sense of space) and always looks a bit confined/dark. I guess it depends what the motivation is for selecting row 11... it might save you a minute or two disembarking from the aircraft.

I guess the reason behind it was wanting to try something “new” as I’ve always stuck with 12A and 15A.

Do the bulkheads provide extra foot room? Or any extra room as I am 6”7’

15A's footwell (i.e. foot space area) is larger; not sure about 11A

is 1A or 2A the better seat on CX872 from HKG to SFO? Never flown Cathay before and I am more excited about the flight than the actual vacation

2A is the best seat in the house

1A is somewhat exposed to the galley (and 1 & 2 DK are all exposed to each other, but you're not considering those anyhow)

Yes, 2A (and 2K) are always blocked for bassinet. Usually a quick call (or Twitter DM in this case) will get them assigned.

I just booked PE LAX-HKG-SIN and chose 32K for both CX885 LAX-HKG and 884 HKG-LAX (on the 77H it would appear). It appears as there is a divergence of opinion on these seats - not enough legroom or OK legroom. I wanted the leg-rest and a window so I chose these. Hoping the bassinet shelf won't be in use, of course. I am 5'10"/160 lbs. so not super-tall nor wide.

30 A/C were occupied, although I did get 30A SIN-HKG PE on the A330. HKG-SIN is regular economy (77Z it looks like so at least no 10-abreast economy) as there is no option for PE if you take the daytime LAX-HKG (other than overnighting in HKG which wasn't offered anyway). I chose 45C.

Hoping my choice was not the wrong one!

I've read a lot in this thread. I am flying 807/806 in November ORD-HKG-ORD. I'm 6'4" and 260lb, would you go for 40c or 59c please?
