In case you're not aware, CX had to suspend operations for the best part of 24 hours this week due to a major typhoon. Their staff are rather focussed on rebooking 100,000 seats or so!

I just tried calling the UK number, got hit with the VM 3 times in a row. 4th time instantly connected with someone. Very strange!

I second that. My call in the English line was picked up in 5 mins, I was waiting for good 10min on canto line with no end of waiting. For your record, I waited 1 hrs 2 years ago for redemption on phone.
