BA Business & First Class UK Sale Fares Loaded 23rd October 2013

As reported here, Club & First sale fares are now loaded and I've posted the longhaul list on the blog.

Overall fares are very slightly (under 1% crude average across the board) lower than the last sale in May. There are more £200 CE destinations though - this time it's Angers, Bordeaux, Genoa, Frankfurt, Paris, Quimper, Rotterdam, Stavanger, Stuttgart and Zagreb.

Booking deadline is Tuesday 12th November 2013, with various travel periods commencing 6th November 2013 and ending 31st August 2014. Most fares have a 42 day maximum stay duration.

Looks like a small North America sale (maybe a price match with Virgin) has started to certain destinations from Dec through March.

Haven't looked at the specific details (end dates etc.) but:

JFK from £1512 in Club
Boston from £1579
Washington from £1583
Vegas from £1994
LA from £1993
+others

WT and WT+ look decent (but not as low as we've seen in recent sales) as well.

Yep, also noted in the [Q: When is the] Next BA Sale? [A: We don't know] thread as spotted by chistery.

Fare code is IH4UKJB.
  • Valid for travel commencing on/after 02 Dec 13 and on before 26 Mar 14.
  • Seems to include most US destinations, and includes BA1-4 from LCY.
  • Tickets must be issued on/after 19 Nov 13 and on/before 05 Dec 13.
  • Travel from inbound transatlantic sector must commence no earlier than the first sun after departure of the outbound transatlantic sector.
  • Max stay is 42 days.

Edit: above is for CW

£942 to IAD in WT+ is off the top end of the scale on my past history. Under £900, and often under £800, is more like it over the last 3 years. (21 Dec 2012 it was £791, for example). I seem to have booked between 20-28 Dec in recent years, for flights the following Sep. I'll wait a few more weeks and see what else turn up.

The CW fare on that route does look good, though, at £1583. Back in 2008 I paid £1509, before I really discovered MFU/UuA

Don't forget the current business sale on IB from Paris.
IAD on AA or OpenSkies is currently £875 in J.
Even including the Eurostar it's cheaper than WT+ from LHR if you don't mind the slight hassle.

Hat tip to people commenting on cheap Brazil fares in Club over Xmas. Some sale fares from today I havn't seen advertised.

Just had a quick look, nothing too relevant to me, so posting my findings, flesh out if you want but havn't seen these specifically mentioned. Good availability on the São Paulo fare - the fare conditions I mention I havn't checked on the other fares, but imaging them to be the same.

I Class Club, no APEX, no Min stay, max 42 days, travel from 22 Dec - 01 Jan, must return by midnight 12 Jan 14.

All these destinations a pint or two over £1k inc tax (i.e. £1005, £1006 ) - for sure at this stage cheaper than booking WT or WTP:

São Paulo, Rio, Mexico, Calgary, Montreal, Vancouver.

Anyone spot any others?

BOM too (crap availability though)
Toronto if you really want to freeze to death

Sao Paulo has the best availability, best weather and that's a killer price .. so New Year's in Brazil it is then .. any suggestions on where to go ?
