I suppose it depends on your point of view. My friends in Co Tipp will be glad to have a couple of days' relief from the rain and flooding, which has cut the Suir Valley in half. They had to hitch a ride with the Army this morning to get into town for their shopping.

Double d'oh! I'm flying HEL-LHR-BOS on Monday... The odds really are against me!

As for ironic humour... yes, we have to. It's a way to survive the long and dark winter. Alcohol helps, too. But who's the first?

....and I'll be flying to CPH. Oh well , I'll just have to hit the champers.

Nothing wrong with HEL. And public transport will still work even if there is more than 2mm of snow

Hmm.. this might be more Eurostar trips this week with sullen French people, instead of my "welcome back, Mr. EuropeanPete" on BA

And SE1. Bugger, I was just about to pop out to Caffe Nero too...thankfully that should be the extent of my own disrupted plans. Good luck indeed - I was caught up in something like this around this time last year when flying IIRC, not a huge deal of fun!

Sadly I've already been to the gym so can't use snow on the pavement as an excuse to get out of that.

Snowflakes have now reached SE21. Hardly sufficient to cause any issues as yet but it is the start.

Snowing lightly, but steadily, in West London.

Edited to add:

err, well it was for a while!

Now it is beautiful blue skies over West London !

Off to LIN this evening, so we'll see. Supposedly cold and snowy there.

But one fears the Nebbia the most!
