Just wanted to sanity check my logic here
Flying to PMI Sunday
Spanish locator form filled in, and on hold until 48 hours before departure
We are both vaccinated fully (over 14 days) and have the NHS app with digital pdf / qr code on phone
We also have the form printed
PCR test booked for day 2 arrival back into UK with Randox
No need for specialist travel insurance now Spain is safe to travel by FCDO
The only thing left is the test to come back to UK from PMI....
Thanks

For the return there is also the UK passenger locator form to complete from 48 hours prior to your arrival in UK. You will need enter the ‘booking reference(s) for your Day 2 test(s) from the Randox email.
You could arrange the lateral flow test for return to UK test in PMI or go for one of the video style ones that you take with you - you probably have enough time still to order it and get it delivered before Sunday.

I have the tests going to my parents as they are near LHR and thats where we are flying from/to
we land Friday night and leave theirs Saturday lunch.
When does Randox ship the test? I provided them my flight details....

Would recommend Eurofins at PMI airport - £25 for lateral flow (rapid antigen) which needs to be booked in advance (though we were early for our slot and it didn't matter). Results within 1 hour - we got ours in the Priority Pass lounge.

Is that how it works? I thought you still had to meet the requirements of the country you're visiting. Some countries like Austria will issue this certificate a few weeks after your first vaccine, does that mean someone from Austria can then visit any other EU country even those who require both doses + 14 days without a test or quarantine? The certificate does have details of the vaccinations on it so it's easy to check if they meet the requirements.
for example let’s say I decide to move back to Ireland….

The Irish Digital Green Cert saga is not near any conclusion if you've been following it , but clearly there's a significant number of Irish Citizens with NHS vaccinations ( not just in Northern Ireland ) so apparently the are looking into ways that they could issue an Irish Digital Green cert to them .. but I wouldn't hold my breath.
The other thing that's being discussed is a format mutual recognition / interoperability agreement between the NHS certification and the EU Digital Green pass - if that does happen then it will be even easier

I did it when I travelled there last month. Antigen test is EUR30 and can walk-in (but my experience is you need to WAIT about half an hour for doing the test). They emailed me the result 2 hours later. Quite efficient.

Spain appear to have relaxed the testing requirement for NAAT tests e.g. PCR or LAMP from test 48 hours before arrival in Spain to 72 hours before arrival.
This may give some flexibility for where to get tests, e.g. Boots in store PCR tests seem to offer 48 hour turnaround for results, which we're trying.
Long way down in the link below.

A warning for anyone travelling back from Ibiza this weekend. We had airport tests booked for this evening (Friday) with eurofins and they emailed us yesterday morning saying that “due to technical difficulties” our tests are canceled. No mention of a refund or anything.
Thank god our hotel has a doctor each morning doing them as well, so we were able to do it that way.

Landing into Malaga today was a little different starting with arriving into the oldest part of the terminal at Gate B23. Traditionally BA came in and out of C gates but thats changed (possibly as a result of Brexit?).
We arrived in 10 mins after another Ba Heathrow flight and directly behind a full flight out of Jeddah. If youre worried about mixing with what UK calls the Red Zone then you would have been appalled by the complete carnage and lack of social distancing six or seven hundred passengers squeezed into an area the size of a tennis court waiting for passport control.
Then onto the PLF checking area and it was mobbed with Disney styled up and down queues doubling down on the problem. Add to the mix you don't need a covid certificate to get into Spain I can only see this going one way.
Lastly bags our bags came off in a separate non European section (next to the Jeddah peps) which was really busy. I normally travel HBO so don't know how long this has been happening.
All in all it was a hour from the cabin door to outside and far from business as usual.
This was part of the queue for the PLF scanning.

When I last flew out of AGP on 1 Jul, they had just re-opened the B gates within the last day or two and we left from a B gate (as had the BA flight the previous day), so presumably this is how its going to be going forward. We are just part of the non-EU flotsam and jetsam passing through the airport. They are increasing M East flights, so this sort of thing is only going to get worse.
Out of interest did you happen to notice if there were any dedicated lanes for EU passport holders, at either immigration or for the PLF check ?

Jonkx, are you taking the PCR or LAMP because you are not double vaccinated?
It didn't find it clear if you needed a LAMP or PCR prior to entry even if you are double vaccinated
