I would happily swap that stupid roller thing in the White Company pack that you are supposed to put on your temples (does anyone ever use that?) for a nice bit of chocky. But it seems that Alex doesn't have a sweet tooth so nada on the chocolate front.

On the Punta Cana the cabin manager was making an announcement, stopped, started asking a member of CC if she would be OK to disinfect the cabin, told her she thought her hair looked nice (all with the microphone open) and then carried on making the announcement. It was below Spirit Airlines standard.

We noticed that one CC seemed to be serving both sides of the cabin most of the time, so I wonder if they were short staffed. There were 11 CC on a full densified 777.

Then they were over crewed as there should be only 10, with 3 working in CW.

Is there now a box of (small) chocolates in the galley? I saw one of these twice on my last trip. The first time that I was offered a chocolate from the box, I thought that the box must have gone walkies from the First cabin. But I started to doubt this when I saw an identical box in the same place a second time (on another sector).

Is that just on routes with First, or is is there where you only have 3 classes?

The Club Kitchen was bare within an hour of takeoff and everyone was asking for food. Be aware if you are taking this flight!

Fortunately, the Qantas lounges in SIN and SYD (especially the First class ones) are excellent.
I took the same flight late last year. It was my first BA long-haul flight for some years (due to location and travel destinations) and after all the good things I had read about the improvements to catering, I was similarly underwhelmed. I got over-baked salmon and mash with beige peas - basically a supermarket ready-meal in a china bowl.

I should have followed up.

Your photo is a far more helpful interpretation than the crew who basically shrugged and said "it's a tomato and prawn salad, maybe with some lettuce"
