If you love pies and live in the UK the best pies I have ever tasted are made by a company called Pieminster.

Actually I would suggest here, if you live in West Central Scotland you definitely know of them.

I would wholeheartedly support their introduction as an option in the GLA lounge then it would only be a matter of time before the CW contract came in......

Please forgive the irony of a question about express/single tray service just at the time that full service has been resumed.
The reason I ask is that I have my first overnight Club World flight (BA208 MIA-LHR) coming up early next year and I am seriously considering taking the single tray option in order to gain extra sleep.
The pictures that I've seen of the separate courses on the restored full menu look too big to fit on one tray. I hope this is not too dumb a question, but I would be interested to know if the portions of the various courses are smaller when served on a single tray and would there be a choice of items for each course?
Thanks

I *think* it used to be that they served an express service on one tray, where you could choose from the cold options and drinks. You'd be served first and could get off to sleep quite soon, while the main service continued for others who wished the full dinner.
Whatever the current situation is, I'd encourage you to ask the crew what they can do to meet your needs, I'm sure they'll be happy to do what they can. In my past experience, quite a few passengers decline the the meal completely and go straight to sleep with just a drink.

The menu posted here: https://www.flyertalk.com/forum/34729898-post330.html

As stated, it sounds like the express option is you get to just choose one of either a starred starter or starred dessert, with a drink. It'll be given to you after take off, but that's your meal service done!

Often people eat at the lounge before the flight and skip the meal on the plane completely, allowing them to get to sleep quicker.

I appreciate the prompt and helpful information, especially the link to the menu.
I've heard that the food in the AA flagship lounge in Miami is not too bad so I will take the suggestion of filling up there, with maybe a cheeseboard with my wine before settling down to sleep.
Thanks!

From memory it's quite a trek to the Flagship lounge in Miami from the BA gate. The last time I did it was in January so it may have changed, but I think BA operates from E and the Flagship lounge is in D so it's about a 20 min walk. And the food in that lounge was OK, nothing special at all, some light snacks and tiny plates as I remember to stop you from filling up.

Traveling from LHR to YVR soon. Does anyone have a report and/or photos of what the new service (food) is like?

If "soon" means November then this thread is probably the better place to find out more:

I bought their Kilmarnock Pies in an Aldi in north Scotland. They are great pies!
