So is the case with coffee , the reason Java republic is on the BOB BA flights is because they have either paid .. or given a preferential deal to BA on the cost of it , nothing to do with the quality of the product .

I can just about remember the Go cafetiθre, small plastic things,and with those there is a stewing effect, the longer you leave it, the stronger the flavour. So how this could work on BA is that like the speciality teas, there could be small packets of ground coffee in various flavours, the cabin crew would simply tip the packet into a mini cafetiθre and top with hot water, so not much different work-wise from those asking for peppermint tea.
(I don't drink coffee unless in dire need of stimulant, so I haven't tried these extensively).
Meanwhile, on the topic of the new CW service, is tea still rationed to one cup at the end of the meal, or is it more freely available? I have long found it ridiculous how BA ration the tea, in all cabins (except F), while handing out gin with abandon. Sometimes I feel like it's a live-action Hogarth print on a long daytime flight.

All looks great and look forward to trying it in the future.
Am delighted to hear that BA are instructing their crew to set 20 degrees at night in the club world (and hopefully First) cabin. So hopefully we can all finally get some decent sleep and well earned rest.

Without wishing to go overboard, a flute (with a relatively sharp bottom) is clearly the best vessel for sparkling wine if you want to preserve temperature and fizz. Tumblers and old-fashioned "coupe" glasses can take a hike
(Coupes were necessary when bottled champagne had yeast sediment in it, but that hasn't been the case for about a century now.)

Having spent my lifetime drinking coffee and then worked in the 3rd wave independent coffee world for 5 yrs, HIDDY & CWS are absolutely right. It is all about the quality of the coffee sourced, its roast profile and then how it is made.
Having said that it is possible to make better coffee with commercial branded cheap high volume stuff such as Lavazza. But the amount espresso vs water is the key.
I would love supply airlines with amazing coffee! It might even stop me from drinking all their champagne!!

After meals, tea is freely available (call bell in Club, walk to the galley in WT), but frankly I drink litres of the stuff a day in normal circumstances so I'd prefer a continuous supply.
Obviously my ideal new service element would be a self service tea tap at my seat as found in some Japanese restaurants

1) The bedding isn't implemented yet and
2) The point of the sleeper service is to not be eating on the flight, thus somewhat negating the impact of the , erm, largely F&B centric changes so far.
But if there is anything of interest to report I'll try and make sure I mention it.
Tbh I don't have much to compare it to as I almost always get the slightly earlier, non-sleeper services back from NY so it's been a while since I flew this. CWS doubtless has better insight
