They've put us in seats 5E and 5F on the 777-300 for BA 092. I don't even see those seats on SeatGuru. Is this an older aircraft config? 1E and 1F are also open, as are a bunch of the windows but I think my wife and I would like to sit together. Recommendations? Thoughts?
That's YYZ to LHR for the benefit of those who haven't memorised the entire schedule yet.

It's also not a 777-300, but the fairly rare 17 seater in First 777-200. Seatguru is not accurate for BA's fleet and getting increasingly inaccurate for that matter, so you best use thebasource.com and the seat plan you should look at is here: I think you're OK in your current seats if your priority is to sit together, there isn't a huge difference between row 1 and 5, but some may prefer 1 to get an earlier meal service. Note the high risk of further equipment changes.

Thanks! Is this an older or updated interior?

Why a high risk of further changes?

There's only one First interior now, across the fleet, so the seat (etc) will look the same interior throughout. I don't know whether you were thinking of Old First but that's long gone, otherwise it is WTP / WT that have different interiors. That has the Thales IFE, so no change from the 787. There are only 3 of these aircrafts left in the fleet, Zulu Alpha, Bravo and Charlie, so it won't take much for there not to be one of these birds available.

Thanks. That makes sense. I imagine that they have combined 98 and 92 so they went with the bigger First interior. Here's hoping they have to switch back to the 787.

Hello

me and my partner are booked to fly Shanghai–Pudong to London Heathrow in World traveler plus in November. Have selected us 24A and 24B on the 777 with four rows of premium economy (32W). Can anyone tell me if these seats will have limited recline as it shows there is a wall directly behind us.

thanks

All WTP seats, on all BA's routes, all recline fully, regardless of location.

In fact that applies to all of BA's seats, at least where they are supposed to recline. So shorthaul emergency seats and SL3510 seats don't recline, but the rest do and fully so.

Hi All,

First time on BA longhaul, but familiar with UA, AA, VS, and LH J product.

A traveling couple from TPA - LGW - LHR - ATH in a 3 class 777-200ER 32J/52W/252Y set up. Row 1 A/B and 4 A/B are available. I've read through all pages and didn't see anything specific about these seats, or much on this aircraft.

I prefer a window and wife indifferent. I was interested in row 4 since it was cheaper, and near the door allowing us a quicker exit, clear immigration and head off to LHR. However, read row 4 is missing a window, or all windows? Any input is appreciated. We land LGW at 7:50 and depart LHR at 12:15pm. I'm thinking we have a enough time.

(MOD - Dupe post and might be better here than in the other forum. Please delete the other if you see fit)

Many thanks,

Andrew

Can someone help me decide the best seat from those available? This is a 77W on the BOM-LHR flight.

I understand 22K has no window so I’ve chosen the aisle. I like an aisle so that I can move around without disturbing a neighbour. But at the same time I like the footrest which extends from the seat infront (for non exit rows)

This is a refurbished LGW 772, the seat plan is here

32J52W252Y | The BA Source

Click on the link that says “business class seat advice” and the page will expand for that cabin.

From those options I would always take 4A/B, because the 4A is one of only two window seats (with 4K) with direct aisle access. I don’t think 4A is completely windowless, but it may have a misaligned or one missing window. If that’s important, then maybe row 1 is better for you, and the row 1 aisle seat occupant does not have anyone stepping over them.

You should have sufficient time for the LGW-LHR transfer, don’t forget that BA does not transfer checked baggage between airports, you need to collect it and take it to LHR yourself.

Any B, D, G, J seat.

Or if you want a window seat only 4A and 4K have direct aisle access.

Or if you're travelling as a pair, the only centre seats with direct aisle access are 4EF.

AFAIK, the bassinet is 4E, so you should be fine. In any event, you can't select bassinet seats online in advance of check-in, so any seat you can take in advance is by definition not a bassinet. If you did get a bassinet seat, yes you could be moved in the event of it being needed last minute for an infant. Given that you can only get these close to the flight, you'd be fairly unlucky if that happened. Also, if a seat is needed for flight crew rest, it would likely be 4K that gets blocked for this.
