Or maybe the same guys who loaded the fares last year.

No chance, BA had to let these guys go, they were very cheap but at the end they did cost BA too much.

I'm one of the GCH who, after the changes to HBO fares came into effect a few years ago, would chose "with checked bag" fares in order to keep my options open, but also to ensure seat selection. 95% of the time I would travel HBO.

Just off the phone with BA GCL to query what the changes will mean for a GCH who usually on a SH travels on the standard non-flex checked bag fare.

Did a dummy booking to ATH today with a standard checked bag fare ....
£199 - booking into Q

Agent did a booking based on the new system tomorrow, also booking into Q as semi flex... £199....

I have fingers crossed this is going to be the way this enhancement continues (and will check tomorrow to see if the price actually holds etc)

Thanks.

Communication has been sent out about the changes starting tomorrow.

No idea on pricing, but hoping it's what we're all hoping for!

Conditions showing for "with checked bag" LHR-OSL fare now:

Changes
Time/date changes permitted at any time before each flight departure for the difference in fare. Free changes on the day of departure provided changes are for same date/cabin/route/airport. Changes subject to availability.
Price point +£15 vs HBO.

Looks promising.

Apparently fine but they are obviously still working on either fares or pricing:

LHR-OSL 20 JUL, 19:20 flight:
- Select £95 HBO, get taken to the "with checked baggage" screen and fare shows as £115, semi-flex conditions
- Select £110 "checked baggage", get to the same screen as before with fare £115, semi-flex conditions
