2016 POUG rate tracker
Please add your own successful results to the follow list including the month/year when the POUG was offered to you.
UPDATED TO: Post #259
POUGs are offered via BA.com and the App Manage My Booking via a distinctive banner (example from MMB below). You cannot get a POUG by telephoning, however the service centres can complete a POUG which falls over mid transaction. They are offered on cash and Avios redemptions but typically not on complex routings, BA Holidays or travel agency bookings until OLCI stage. POUGs on Avios redemptions won't get you additional TPs/Avios, but they will on revenue tickets.
Short haul routes from LON to/from Europe
A price in pounds indicates a ticket issued from London, other currencies indicate prices for tickets issued overseas (e.g. singles or returns originating from CDG priced in Euros). Multiple prices indicate a range of fares are on offer. Note that LCY prices currently seem to be on a different basis to LGW and LHR (cheaper, in other words).
Long haul routes from LON to North America
(price shown from lower cabin to mentioned cabin, e.g. WTP means price to POUG from WT to WTP):

Offered £69 on a one way HBO fare.
January 2017
So a circa £400 reduction on the C O/W fare. Nabbed it as I'm chasing Tier Points

I just flew ORD-LHR on 9/6. I was getting POUG offers (that I stupidly ignored) for $288 each to upgrade from WT to WTP. Ended up upgrading cash at the gate for $318 each. On return flight yesterday LHR-ORD, no offers online. Asked about cash upgrades at the ticket counter when I checked my bags, but was told none were available and flight was oversold. Between ticket counter and boarding the plane, we were upgraded for free. We were told when they scanned our (old) boarding passes to board the plane.

This may be the stupidest question asked in this forum, but here goes:
If I have a WT ticket purchased through Priceline and it's an AA ticket for a flight operated by BA, it's highly unlikely I'll see a POUG, correct?

Also, marginally less stupid question: Does anyone have a screen shot of the banner that appears in MMB when an offer is made?

LHR-AUH WTP-CW £425 for November
Had originally booked in the sale, and had been planning CW both ways. However, when I finally got round to booking, the price for the outbound sector had doubled, so I elected for WTP on the outbound and CW on the return.
I think I have actually saved £20-£40 on the lower CW sale price that I had intended to book originally! And the booking is for two pax, so probably £80 up on the deal.
Had also toyed with QR fares from HEL or CPH, but decided the faff for a 5 day trip wasn't worth it, and with positioning flights, the cost worked out about the same. Fewer TP, of course, but less stress - particularly since travelling with a colleague on her second LH flight. Guess what - her first LH (with me and another colleague) was on QR routing BRU-DOH-DXB-AUH-DOH-BRU, with the outbound four days before the horrible events in Belgium. QR routed us back to LHR (with the car at Ebbsfleet Eurostar terminal). So I think I've probably made the right decision for this trip!

Hello
Will a POUG show in MMB that you have reached directly with PNR/surname, as opposed to logged in to BAEC?
Thanks
