2016 POUG rate tracker

Please add your own successful results to the follow list including the month/year when the POUG was offered to you.

UPDATED TO: Post #259

POUGs are offered via BA.com and the App Manage My Booking via a distinctive banner (example from MMB below). You cannot get a POUG by telephoning, however the service centres can complete a POUG which falls over mid transaction. They are offered on cash and Avios redemptions but typically not on complex routings, BA Holidays or travel agency bookings until OLCI stage. POUGs on Avios redemptions won't get you additional TPs/Avios, but they will on revenue tickets.

Short haul routes from LON to/from Europe
A price in pounds indicates a ticket issued from London, other currencies indicate prices for tickets issued overseas (e.g. singles or returns originating from CDG priced in Euros). Multiple prices indicate a range of fares are on offer. Note that LCY prices currently seem to be on a different basis to LGW and LHR (cheaper, in other words).

DBV-LGW ET to CE not offered (or more correctly, creates an error when attempting POUG)
LGW-DBV ET to CE €109

Fare was booked with a 10% Diamond Club discount, and the LGW-DBV fare difference was €79 IIRC.

FRA-LHR £109
As it was the Bus Of Horror at both airports, I didn't miss much by not taking it.

Just decided to do a POUG from WT to WTP on a flight in December to ICN (£152 added to wiki).

Apologies if this has been covered, but I am slightly bemused that it has booked me into 'P' fare bucket... is that normal? My understanding is that P is a WTP redemption bucket. Seems odd that a cash upgrade should book into P class? Appreciate any help anyone can offer

Not sure about WTP but is quite normal when POUG'ing to J where it'll book into U.

The outbound leg of my LHR to JFK is now being offered at £105 from Y to WT+.

For added clarity - the current price for WT+ online is £1,340!

£69 from ET to CE on a HBO fare from LCY to AMS. As that means an increase from 5 TP to 40 TP (£1.97/TP on the 'extra' 35 points), I'll take it.

LHR-MUC ET to CE £90. Originally booked 6th Sept (Q class), flying early Dec, POUG offered 8th Sept (& taken as the additional tier points are useful!)

Also on the inbound leg with AA outbound—don't know if that's remarkable?
So I took this, having acquired some things to do that I should be awake for. A couple of days later—having confirmed it's not possible to UuA a POUG—I idly looked up the fare difference to upgrade to F. £300.

It's ticketed alright, and I know EWR isn't the First experience that JFK is, but part of me still expects I'll be back in 7E when the time comes. Especially as it's booked into full F. T–>(U–>)F for < £800? What are the chances?

Got the standard £119 for DUB-LHR (thought this would be in Euros).
Avios booking and don't need the TPs as will be over 5000 by then.

Nothing on my MAN-LHR-DUB outbound that I booked a while ago but that's probably due to it being a connection and for a 55 min flight, not worth it.

This just happened to me too, re my upcoming EWR—LHR (mentioned above). A bit worrying in the circumstances. Did the POUG charge ever surface for you?
