Just an FYI but there's a new big QR sale starting Jan9 so anyone considering booking with them might want to hold onto that until the 9th

I've had a look but can't see anything to AKL in this MH deal - has anyone found anything?

Thanks

Which is a shame... as I really wanted to go to Rarotonga since AZ changed my ticket for a more direct route

Consider LHR- SYD and then use avios to connect to AKL with LAN on one of their 787,s

I picked a random date 9 Apr (Dep SYD 1110 arrive AKL 1620) and seats are available:

Costs OW : J = 11000 Av + GBP 145.10 - 18200 + GBP 90.10
Y = 4000 + 120.10 - 8500 + 85.10

Had considered this flight myself, although starting in Mel - Syd -Akl but will fly west to Perth next week instead, unfortunately using good old fashioned cash (no Av redemptions available). Plus if you were a OWE you'd get to use the very nice QF F lounge in Syd !

Thanks for the suggestion. Have been wondering about doing that, but I'm not looking to go until November so might wait and see what QR come up with in the meantime

TXL - JNB just dropped by a grand or so for later this month £1452 return https://goo.gl/flights/LPfz

Looks like a lot of forward availability as well.

A ARN-LAX itinerary I have been watching has just dropped from ~£1,650 to ~£1,400. I also think there are some price reductions ex-LUX (according to my tracked Google Flights).

I have not had a chance to look into detail, but hopefully this is the start of something, at least!

Anyone found a way to get around the odd 26-day (?) max stay?

AMS works as well. OPO still £100 less than that.

Great find!

Works open jaw too, can do OPO-JNB CPT-OPO I need that for Feb 2018 haha shame I can't book that far ahead yet!

for extra TPs it can be started in FNC

https://goo.gl/flights/5TYK

although I wouldn't recommend starting it there! But you can do OPO-JNB-FNC for a nice route if you haven't visited those 2 places

Does OPO-MAD-LHR-JNB work for present triple avios offer?

There're flights operated by IB (OPO-MAD, MAD-LHR) and I'm affraid they're not eligible for bonus avios. What's your opinion?

'For a limited period only, you will receive triple the Avios you’d normally collect on every British Airways flight you take, including flights with a BA flight number between Europe and North America with our airline partners American Airlines, Finnair and Iberia.'

Seeing AMS > NYC fares across July weekends in J on BA for €1,390 (£1,180) with the Babybus out of LCY included as well.

Prices up on BA.com and GoogleFlights if people are interested.
