I had a quick rattle through ... Sale dates are route-specific. It’s far from global, more a case of selling slack inventory (as usual!).

Good luck if it works for you, but no use to us this time around.

A WT+ to SJC that I nearly booked for Ł1100ish earlier today is now Ł768, seems like a route specific deal though.

Agreed. And it's not creating a lot of excitement on here!

HEL is back for just under Ł300 return in CE, if anyone needs the TPs. Not as good as the Ł220ish we saw in September, but might be useful for some.

Malta is available for Ł237 which is an excellent option for those short on TPs. Nov/Dec 2019.

Funchal is also there at more or less the same price point. Catania at the Ł250 mark with best availability in Sep/Oct 2019.

Late in the year / early next year seems LAX, SFO, SJC all around Ł770 mark which is great for a UuA to CW - availability not bad off peak

W/E for two in HEL @ 160 TP's for Ł300 sitting in 1A/1C each plus 14000 avios plus access to the Cathay lounge @ T3 in September is not too bad. Plus 3 nights in 4* hotel B&B taking it to under Ł500 each looks like a reasonable deal. While retaining gold for this year is not a problem looking ahead it might be harder to keep it for 2021 so getting some TPs in the bank early will be good !

Sadly I didn’t find any personally-helpful fare after Dec 19, which isn’t surprising I guess.

I NEED a bargain for Feb/Mar for our 40th ... I shall be patient!

Have you told your wife wife you will only take her away for your 40th wedding anniversary if you can do it on the cheap

Not a super deal, but J to Tel Aviv including a car Ł1300 pp for 10 days. Looking forward to Christmas in Israel! Still a decent price. F Ł200 more each way, but given the flight leaves LHR at 0800 it seemed a bit of a waste as I’ll be Gold by then anyway.

Believe me, she understands the mysteries of BAEC, Matrix and TPs. And about half the money will come from her pensions!

I agree, not many bargains here. I wonder why they are having another sale so soon after the last one in Jan. I wasn't expecting anything more until May/June.

To push up loads and yields in reduced size business / first class so late bookers (business people) have to pay more ???

I wasn't expecting a sale until august this year! We've a wedding reception to attend in Kuala Lumpur mid february. Luckily this sale doesn't include February 2020! Fingers crossed there will be a sale later this year!

Early March and even late Feb have had sales in the past 3 years at least, all in J and F. Have a look at ‘continental club’ (google) as I can’t share the link and you can see the sale fare history with BA. Not that this is gospel but trends are trends.

May/June tends to be the “summer” sale which includes all cabins.
