Just flagging up that last year the BA winter sale began on Wednesday 20th December. While last year’s dates are not an exact guide to what will happen this year (generally speaking sales seem to have started a little later this year than last), it may be worth bearing this in mind if you are planning to book something this week.

VS has announced its winter sale - I had an email this morning - so presumably the BA one will not now be far behind. Indeed, it would not surprise me if fares were being loaded today.

And even if not, they might be doing some stealth price matching to VS, so worth having a look if you're after something specific...

Was told by an agent in BA holidays to ring back 21/22nd December as expecting sale fares to be loaded around then as I am trying to U/G one sector of a holiday booking and the quotes are too high just now
