When the PR machine is in operation (typically after a major positive entertainment/sporting/news event) then uniformed BA staff will greet and escort the celeb and get in all the photographs. It's PR, I don't know why the hedge fund peeps have such a problem with it ... ... perhaps it's jealousy?
As for the tax dodging comments, there are enough of those types in the hedge fund business so people in glass houses and all that ...

Andy Murray had the same treatment after winning the U.S. Open in 2012. And I'm sure others have as well.

Don't see why some are finding this treatment towards a celeb to be a problem.
It gets BA in the papers following a major positive event taking place.

Nope, envy! Jealousy is when you want to have what someone else has, and is born out of love. Envy is when you want to destroy what someone else has, and is born out of admiration. /Pedant

I think Cumberbatch, Redmayne and all the other privately (Eton) educated silver spoon actors were summed up quite well in this weeks Weekly Wipe on BBC2. Such battles in the face of adversity. Brings a tear to the eye.

In many languages the terms representing envy and jealousy are quite starkly separate.
Envidia / celos are unlikely to be confused in Spanish; envie / jalousie in French.
Yet in english they are routinely confused. No problem with that, no point at all in railing against misuse: we know what is meant.
But ..... if you want to be pedantic about it, it's worth getting things right.
You feel envy for something you want, but do not have, resent others possessing: jealousy is an anxiety over your hold over someone/something desired by someone else, sometimes even held by someone else.
Jealousy is (almost) exclusively associated with anxiety about sex/love/relationships: envy can be (often is) involved with possessions and attributes you wish were your own, but are held by others.

Somebody in 1a greeted me in 2a on the a380 service from LHR to LAX on 27.02. It turned out to be Orlando Bloom who seemed like a pretty nice guy.
I have seen LOTR a few times so I'm surprised I had no idea who it was until an FA said I was lucky to be seated behind Orlando Bloom.

Famed Hedgefund Manager Lioneye currently in the CCR with a group of 'real life friends' (whatever they are ).
Starting to feel a bit daft sat in the corner with the laptop and a life size cardboard cutout of CWS.
