I know its a small cabin but is there any risk of not getting the meal choice you want if in row 2?

Meal orders are prioritised using status not seat number.

Sorry CIHY one more question if you don't mind. I just moved to row 2 and the seatmap shows a cot by 1F. What are the implications of this? Is there a risk BA could move me for a pax with a baby? If not moved does it mean there may be a baby by my seat?

Actually the cot position is 2F but I wouldn't worry about it.

Doha

I am flying from LHR to DOHA and back on a 777. As a couple (both BAEC Gold) what are the best seats? I know it is a subjective question but we would like privacy which is why I have chosen first rather than J or Qatar in J.

If you're travelling as a couple umbyboy, and you don't mind not having a window seat / view, then you're best picking one of the E/F pairs of seats. I'm not sure what variant of 777 is operated on your route, but I'd pick the pair of seats furthest from the toilet (i.e. fewer people walking past you).

I am only worried that I am going to eat half way through the flight as BA crew is notoriously bad and for this reason I might choose row 2.

That's pretty unusual in First. If you're keen to eat soon after take off, then when the CC come round to give you your PJs and washbag, mention to them that you'd like to eat as soon as possible once in the air. You eat when you want in BA First

I probably just had a bad experience. I have gone for 2EF on the night flight and 1EF on the day flight back.

The first 777 has 14 seats and the second 17, is there any practical difference to the seats in the cabin with 17? Cheers
