Are all first seats on the 747 physically the same size (+the area around when flat)? traveling with and infant and would share the seat if possible!

Isn't 2F a bassinet position, which means that you may be shifted if a passenger with an infant books later?

All seats on all aircraft apart from the 789 are the same size; it's the surround that varies. I think 1A/K on the 747 seem to have a skinnier end to the bed, although this might be my imagination

Traveling as a couple with an infant. Originally had the bassinet row. There was another couple booked and with the switch they have the bassinet now.

Whats the best option, currently have been assigned 4E/F which seems exposed. Would try for 1A/K nearer the time.
Have just checked for myself having read your message and our outbound at the beginning of March has changed to the 747 but the inbound at the end of March is still showing as the 777. Would prefer the 777 on the outbound as I am trying to get the A380 out of LAX for the return. Will keep checking.
Seats have remained the same 2K,3K.

It is, you need an a/se shaped like a Toblerone to sit on the buddy seat. Irrespective, 1A/K on a 744 remain my favourite seats on the BA fleet, although I've yet to try the 789.

My wife has sat in the 1A/K buddy seat a couple of times and said it was fine. I'll pass on your comments about toblerones .

Which seats would you recommend for a couple in F on the 787-9 please? Currently in 1 E & F but wondering whether 1 A and E might be better?

Absolutely 1E&F

The seats are very private and with no buddy option you will not be able to socialise with your partner at all in A/E combo

Thanks. Why do you prefer row 2? Further from the galley?

To be honest there isn't much in it, I prefer to be further away from the bulkhead and not be able to see what is happening in the galley.

Coupled with the fact the 789 is quite a lot quieter than the older birds... you definitely hear more galley noise.

Any reason CIHY?

I have these booked for a First flight to Tel Aviv later on in the year and thought middle pair row 1 for the Mrs and I would be best. Should I move?

I have given my reasons above, as it's such a small cabin I think that it feels nicer sitting further back.
