People who were booked on the CY flights this weekend were offered rebooking on BA and the Aegean flight via ATH apparently.

The CY fleet is now sitting idle in St Athan, Wales, awaiting return to their lessors. Bit different to sunny Cyprus!

Yeah, weather the past few days has been cold and wet. I think London was warmer than Larnaca on Friday.

And you were correct Bwaflyer...catered out of LCA which was owned by CY. Choice of chicken or cheese sandwich, but CE had standard hot meals.

Pretty busy. 252 pax onboard. Landed late. Just made the last tube. Time from aircraft door to train...9 minutes

Not sure if this has been mentioned already but BA is going from 7 to 13 weekly on the LHR-LCA route from 29 March. The early morning departure is a bit off (where did they find the slot?) but the early afternoon return will be in demand.

BA663 LCA1925 – 2210LHR 767 Daily

US, AA codeshares already launched. LGW-LCA remains unchanged.

No sign of a 744 yet.

They clearly had this planned for a while. ^

Nope. CY catering was the company which catered the BA LCA-LHR flights. Last Friday's 663 was the last BA flight they were able to cater.

Err, the new catering arrangements were to return cater from LHR for CE and provide sandwiches for ET. Done at less than a day's notice. Contingency was in place and worked.

Unless I misunderstood, the sandwiches were provided in lieu of the expected hot meal (dinner) catering. This is why shefgab received an apology for the improper catering rather than the seamless service one might expect from a well managed contingency.
