Of which Delta own about 9% I believe, suggesting more than 50% interest in VS.

Delta isn't being a major shareholder to a competitor. It's only half in jest that VS is sometimes referred to as "Delta UK".

sadly Norwegian seem on the brink again. I am sure that the 737max which they blame in the article linked above is indeed a major cause, but so was their highly geared expansion

they are asking bond holders to delay repayment against the security of their Gatwick slots.

It is a throughly decent airline line that I use from time to time to get to Mallorca.

I hope they pull thorough

I believe there is a similar, if not the same discussion going on in this thread too

IAG acquires 4.61% stake in Norwegian

Interesting article about France’s number 2 carrier Aigle Azur probably about to go bump.

Suggests Air France may hoover up some assets including slots at Orly but also says IAG are sniffing around too, presumably to give Level a boost there.

Apears IAG only interested in the landing slots at Orly, allegedly as a base for Vueling.

Hi,

also some details on the bbc

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-49707230

Essentially Thomas cook is rappidly trying to finalise a rescue deal and is in negotiations with bond holders to give it more time to finalise a deal. The CAA is not commenting directly. the article then goes on to cover consumers rights

Regards

TBS

So Thomas cook and Norwegian both looking somewhat ropey currently with Thomas cook possibly more so short term.

This is all looking quite bad for the staff involved and I feel for them all.

LGW could be especially badly hit if both of these airlines flop

Did Thomas Cook have any of the 737 MAX's? Just wondering if having a stranded asset was affecting them.
