A parting glance through the haze at the Manhattan midtown skyline (Empire State building is on the left, the Rockefeller Center being the tallest building on the right), from AY6 JFK-HEL on 15 Sept.2018.
Somewhat clearer conditions on the ground in Helsinki (wheels-down to city centre in <50 minutes)....

Couple from Toulouse:
First - nighttime sweep down by the river (busy - considering this was midnight!).
And from along the Canal Du Midi (make the most of these trees since they are to be cut down shortly due to disease).

Went to sleep at 10pm last night, way way early for me. Set alarm for 6am for sunrise and was up at 5.40...

A few days ago I was in Pasadena, California. Pretty city, much nicer than much of LA in my opinion...

AMS - LHR BA 443 (delayed, so picture is from around 22:00 instead of the regular timing). Approach into LHR we came close to Piccadilly Circus and Regent Street which I don't seem to remember seeing so easily from previous flights...terrible resolution from an iPhone, sorry but just the novelty of seeing another section of London from overhead was too good to miss...

Really pleased with this view capturing much of central London. You can even pick out LCY in the background. Slightly shorter final made this possible.

30 Rockefeller Center really isn't that tall (850ft) compared to a lot of the big stuff in Manhattan. The Empire State Buiilding is 1250ft, 432 Park Avenue is just shy of 1400ft.
