Indeed you were right!

Hello from the 'Airport Lounge' at Porto. It is the only airside lounge.

No problems with access as a Gold in Euro Traveller.

Seems nice enough. Not busy, WiFi fast, spirits selection (gin is Gordon's), cold sandwiches, etc. English newspapers are the FT and the Telegraph.

Location: directly above Gate 5. Wifi is 10 mb/s up and down. Phone charging station. Smoking room still in service, slightly leaky.

===
Just for the flying hipsters: This lounge is the former Olympic Airways lounge, which is now a subsidiary of Aegean. The much admired visuals behind Olympic still live on in the serviettes, the wifi code and other signs in the lounge. Aegean maintain a much better lounge next door, which is used by Star Alliance members and, indeed Olympic Air.

Budapest Plat Lounge - it's actually good!

While I have been scathing lately about some 3rd party lounges within Europe, a good report is due. Sunday evening in Budapest.....friendly welcome by two somewhat attractive ladies and a comfortable lounge with good wi fi, hot soup, various tastey snacks, sparkling wine, beer, and other choices. It was clean despite getting busy the girls took some pride.

Hope others enjoy this lounge as we did on Sunday...

I was there a couple months ago and save the lack of bathrooms inside the lounge and the spotty wifi was very impressed.

However, it's pretty bad. There's WiFi, a nespresso machine, and some soft drinks. And it's the size of a broom closet.

NO BOOZE (when I was there yesterday at least). I went down and had a couple of beers at a bar in the terminal instead.

Prospero, Sahib, I have some poor photos of the MLA "La Valette" lounge here ... http://s319.photobucket.com/user/atc...?sort=3&page=1

Help yourself. No fizzy stuff noticed, but I suspect that won't topple the World off its axis

They appear to have partly re-furnished since your cover photo was taken.
The Smoking area is the outside terrace of the Cafe near Gate 1. Loads of space and 'picnic tables'

SOF lounge is actually quite pleasant - even if the lilac colour scheme is hideous.

Very pleasant Bulgarian Sparkling wine available to self pour - beats the CE Monopole!
