Has anyone got the Harvey Nichols offer on an online order? I don't have time to go to the store before the end of year and have one more Amex card to use.

I had a few of the shop small £5 credit successfully when I did some phone orders, so it could in theory work. Not tried it online though

You could return the item if the credit didn't go through. Would lose out on postage etc though.

You can also buy gift vouchers online, so no real loss at risk, assuming you would use it at some point.

First deal is £10 free - yes, no purchase necessary - just sync and you get the £10.

Others are:

  • Spend £50, get £25 at Dixons Travel
  • Spend £10, get £10 at Cineworld
  • Spend £50, get £25 at Topman
  • Spend £50, get £25 at Carphone Warehouse
When does the Carphone Warehouse deal run out? Is it linked to reaching a certain target in the Halo game? I might just buy an Xbox if I can buy multiple gift vouchers with different accounts and therefore buy a phone or tablet half price at CPW. Multiple £10 would cover the cost of the Xbox and the rest would be a bonus.

Surely you have to be close enough for the foursquare app to let you check-in ?

You don't need to be anywhere near the store and you can check in days or weeks before you make the transaction.

Just to be clear, the Dixons Travel offer is separate from the Currys PC World one and doesn't require Halo 4, just syncing with the Xbox Live a/c and loading the offer. I think all the Xbox offers end 31/12/12.

Have to confess I hadn't seen the dixons travel one. I'm off on my travels on 27th so could make use of it.

Problem is I don't have an xbox live account, but I do have a microsoft gamer doubery from when I used to play F1 on my PC, any ideas on whether that would work? Or indeed how to do it?

Sorry but I doubt it - the system is very much based around entering a code from the website on the Xbox, the sync email comes through within seconds of doing so - if you don't have access to an Xbox then I don't think it's possible.
