Mrs Y & I are heading to Oz next year and we're booked on BA15. Currently we're in 10A/B. I've flown in 16A before with no recollection of noise from the toilets, but in 16B your head is that much closer. Does anyone have experience of this seat and can comment? I could of course stick Mrs Y in 16B, pop my eye shades and headphones on and ignore any whining about noise.
and 10A... that's missing a window and you have to climb over someone to get out, right?

10A is indeed a seat where you have to step over someone for aisle access, whereas 16A and 16K this isn't required. I can't recall the window situation, it's not a seat I would select.
Given how noisy these beasts are, I would be surprised if you would be disturbed by WC noise, particularly if listening to the IFE, though our hearing levels are all individually calibrated. I do know that the window row 16 seats do get some visual disturbance since with 4 WCs there and the relevant lines of sight, it's difficult to avoid noticing it. There isn't a lot of option really. I guess the one potential option, if a couple, is 16E and F, since they have a bit more space and double aisle access; however these are the only bassinet seats. So no easy answers here, but as a single passenger I would still go for 16A to SIN, and 16K from SIN.

10B on the 777-300 is a bad choice IMHO. My only experience (never again!) was on a SIN/SYD BA15. Galley noise/chatter and light, as well as incessant overnight cabin crew foot traffic with the swishing noise of the aisle curtain. Not good for sleep.

Ok that worked.
Solo traveller on 777 LAS-LGW. Mainly a sleeping flight. Surprised the blocked seat next to me hasn't remained blocked (hence contemplating 10B). Would like to at least attempt to get an empty next to me.
What d'ya think people? Thanks!

If the empty seat is that important for you then you better go further back into the second cabin, the first cabin is more likely to fill up. However to and from LAS, BA generally fills CW quite easily.

I assume you are also looking at Expertflyer, since you cannot tell blocks via BA.com. I would definitely go for 5A now, see my post and photo above (though that's 5K). If when you board - and assuming the flight remains half full, I'd consider sweeping over to 5E and 5F if you are allowed to take both.

Row 5 might be a good shout - but is the galley not irksome? I've found it really noisy in the past.
Also can't work out engine position at the moment as I found that particularly bothersome on another 777 in a window seat fairly near to the engine.
Neighbouring empty isn't an essential, just prefer to avoid strange adjacent glances and the leg-jumping hoo-ha from pax in front (as applicable).

On the larger CW cabins yes the second cabin is near the turbines, but it's a really noisy aircraft. How you could hear the galley in row 5 on a 777 surprises me, but at that point I can't see any seat that's going to work for you. You can't see the galley from that seat, and it does give direct aisle access. To avoid adjacent glances you will find a screen that can go up, just press the top button 60 seconds after take off - works for me at least.

Views on 11A by WTP cabin? Looks another maybe sensible option. Although noise likely worse than 5.
I'm going to be going in circles for a while haha.
Thanks for advice.

If LGW, consider the risk of an equipment change for the next few months until the fleet gets sorted out.

Booked RT PHX-LHR April 2020 in F. Discovered that BA has announced a change from 744 after almost 2 decades to 777-300 for S20. I have been on all BA LH aircraft in F except the 773. We are currently in 2A and 3A. Given this is my first trip on the 773 I am trying to get what info I can. Are any of the F cabins been refurbished recently on the -300? Do they have the new IFE systems in them? Just did RT on a refurbished 744 on BA 288/289 last month and the new IFE is a great improvement. Will greatly miss the 744 on this route, seats 1A,K and 2A,K are fantastic! Appreciate any information on the F cabin, IFE and seats chosen for the 777-300.

The 777-300 has the current first and updated and large IFE (Thales- very good) 2A and 3A are very good F seats.
You will still be going into LHR T3 ( not T5) so you can use the T3 lounges on the return.

Concorde. Tend to hang out at the Cathay or Qantas lounges. Although Elemis at BA is great!. Thanks for the seat confirmation. And really happy that the IFE is good as well.

Much appreciated TBS! Yes, the PHX route has been at T 3 for several years so I have been there since the switch. Not nearly as nice as T-5 and

I may have spoken too soon. From the timetable ( I do not think it has been annouced publically yet) , Nov/Dec 2019 flights to PHX are now from T5 ( AA still from T3) and on the 787-9 ( 777-300 from March 2020) ( the summer season)

Your comment above has caught my attention. I had not seen anything publicly yet, however doing a dummy booking in December 19 it shows a 787 and T-5 . I wonder if it will stay at T-5 for S20 when it moves to the 773.
