777-300 economy - I know not the usual FT ask!
Mrs T in her never ending business development quest said...”you’ve always wanted to go to Shanghai ...fancy going? What’s the catch? Well you are famialr with HK etc..Ok says I happy to help “
yep you guessed it as part of the personal laughs between us as we get older and her “strict” business whip I’m booked in economy.
So I’ve got 29C out and back. Any tips whatsoever to help me along appreciated.
tbh I’m looking forward to the whole thing, might even do a trip report

Doing my first ever BA first class flight in a few weeks. It is BA177 LHR-JFK and noticed the first cabin is the 8 seat version so assume it is a refurbished plane.

Are there any differences between the old and new F seat on the refurbished 777-200?

First Class Seat

Flying as a couple, is there much difference between 1E/F to 2E/F? Looking to book award flight and out of the two flights Im looking at 2E/F is only available on one of them but understand these to be the best seats, although my preferred flight is the other. Am I massively over thinking this?!

Doing GRU-LHR in J with the partner on a 77W, what's the consensus on A+B/J+K vs E+F? Given it's 12h including overnight I'm leaning towards taking a middle pair but curious what the more experienced travellers think.

BA252 / BA253 - Refurbed 777

I know there is a thread saying about the best seats for the A350 Club Suites, but has anyone done the same for the refurbished 777?

At the moment we have row 9 allocated Out and row 6 back. (There are two of us travelling, so we're in the middle two seats, rather than 2 window seats.

It seems to be separated into small cabin & big cabin, so wasn't sure what was best in terms of noise / service.

Also, as an odd one, the row starts at 5 for the Club Suite, indicating 4 rows of First - but on BA.com it wasn't even possible to select F when booking the holiday (I wanted to see if F was sheaper than the new Club Seats

Hi,

BA 252/253 are the flights to from Nassau & Grand Cayman.

I think that on the refurbished 777s Club starts st 5 (but only 2 rows of F for 8F seats in total)

It could be that this flight might have FLUB ( first class seats used but Club world service ) but only if Club is overfull.

Regards

Possibly, as you can't book them and they are not showing on the seat map as yet.

Have a look at the 77M seat map in the wiki. This will give you the general lay of the land

Question on BA72/73 LHR-AUH. I've just booked for September and when I go to choose seats the BA website doesn't show a seat map, no probs I go and check on expert flyer but I get this message "There was an error message from the airline when trying to retrieve this seat map: Flight date is in the past or too far into the future ", which I've not seen before. As a couple what are the best seats to choose. Are there any where you don't need to step over anyone? This is a 3 class aircraft (as for CW they auto chose row 2 so there can't be a F cabin). This will be out first time on a 772 with BA as we've actively sought to avoid them, so any help would be appreciated, thank you

So, quick question.

This is based on two people travelling together, who want to interact, rather than sit in the window seats one behind the other. Trying to work out the best option.

First Seat in FLUB (As first class is not catered on the flight) or new Club World Suite?

The central seats of either cabin would do the task, they are fairly similar in that particular respect. It's not as good as ying-yang in CW, but you can talk to each other without raising your voice.

Wow this wiki is monster! I tried to find the information, I promise, but what IFE system can I expect in First on a 12F 777 tomorrow (Happy Christmas!)? Or to be more specific, is it any worse (screen size and selection) than I have experienced on 787/380/747 First flights?

Thanks guys!

Unfortunately the 12F aircraft have the oldest IFE in the entire fleet - Rockwell Collins AVOD. The screen size is the same as 747 First cabins, but is lower resolution. The interface is dated/clunkier and choice more limited, but you'll still likely find something you can watch.
